Arms race WWIII

i must say i love playing arms race. but recently i thought how it would be nice to have a 3-way, 4-way or maybe even a 5-way arms race.

so you'd basically have the same concept, except there are, for example, 5 superpowers in an arms race. world war 3, or a potential world war 3 would be a great theme for this, with powers like china, iran, brazil, the european union, or other upcoming superpowers going along side (or in the case of russia possibly even replacing) the usa and russia.

now there is ofcource the question if the game should be exactly the same as arms race, or if we should maybe create different bonuses in different countries, make it so not each spy can attack all 5 countries, or other changes to make the gameplay more interesting and balanced, but imo we should not go too far from the original.

either way, i searched and didnt find anyone with this idea yet, so how do you folks think about this? an idea worth pursuing, or quickly to the dustbin with it?

Interesting idea. Perhaps, in this case, not all countries should be as large as the USA and USSR are in Arms Race. Countries like Iran or India may not be as large as the U.S., China, or Russia. You might even include Israel and North Korea to some capacity...

Another idea would be to give each country a couple of killer neutral external borders that would still serve as extreme bottlenecks but reflect the fact that some of the regions now actually border.

I do like the idea, but I would keep it close to the origional.

I think it would be cool to start with 2 territs in each country for 1v1's

It just depends on how you make it.
