I notice that there are ALOT of people who will Foe you just because of your points. Really what is the deal with this. It really becomes an issue when you find yourself low on the totem pole and want to get into a game. It stops alot of people from being able to enjoy this site, also it becomes a problem because when someone finds a game that they would like to get in or find a game that a friend or so are in (and another player has foed you) it prevents you from being able to join. I could understand if someone was to be foed because of a lack of skilled game play or for having a poor attitude..... But really what is the deal with foeing someone because of their standing in the point chain. I do believe everyone has had a streak of bad luck and has found them selves in a low standing from time to time. I would like to see more people try to enjoy the play of the game rather then be paranoid of losing to many points, to me (and this is a personal view) that is a sing of a poor player with a lack of courtesy to the other people who would like to enjoy the ability to play freely. It is oppresive and cowardly to Foe for this reason.

I do not write this to complain, I write this to see if anyone else shares this view.... and I stand up and call out ALL who foe for this reason. It is pathetic and scandalous, almost nauseating. I have found myself I this situation several times my a few people, whom I will give the respect to not name, and I have kindly wrote to them to ask why I was foed after a single game with them, to find out I was Foed only for the simple reason of my points.

I wont drop games just because a low ranked player joins, but i try to avoid them in general. I would rather play with a bunch of skilled players and win that way then play with a bunch of noobs, and try to hide in the corner and hope they suicide into each other, which usually works, but does get kinda lame and boring.

I've found that anyone under the rank of Captain is likely to suicide if the game appears to be headed for deadlock, so i avoid people under that rank whenever I can.

OK so this is what I am trying to explain..... I was at a Sergeant 1st Class rank then lost alot of games in a row (trying new maps and new set ups), found myself at a Private 1st class rank... then being foed by people I have played many games with. Then when I have question their action, the response was due to my points, even though that was a long time ago. I still find this to be annoying because I can not get into a game from time to time.

Plenty of people share your view.

On the other side, why should a brig or whatever hi-rank picture-type be required to play someone with low ranks to risk 30+ against winning 10? I guess, if you wish, you could foe all those who foe based on points; that way, when your streak of luck swings up and theirs swings down, they can't play you, either.

However, there are two "more valid" (as in, not fear-based) reasons people might foe based on "points":

• to avoid the accusation of "farmer"
• to play games with those whose current skill levels or intensity cube trends appear to be more in line with their own current skills or dice trends (i.e. to try to ensure a more challenging game).

There are still plenty of highly skilled players, some with high points, who will play with or against "low ranks" - just find and play them.

This is what the "start game" function is for. Start games on the settings you want to play, wait a while, and violá. You're post effectively kills the only good counterargument to starting games, fear of facing low rankers occasionally, haha.

In the long run I find that starting games leads to a more diverse and entertaining gaming experience. you meet a wide variety of opposition. A few easy wins, a few tough ones, a few painful losses (point wise), a few treasure trove wins, and everything in between.

I don't foe low ranked people for beating me, I've even recruited some low ranked players to my clan if they have done really well against me.

Bad dice happen, and sometimes I've lost 62points in a game. Rather than crying, I just play another game.... Its only points.

I foe people for being irritating, cheating and cheap tactics.

I don't use the Foe list (and never really used the 'Ignore List' before the Foe List), but if I did I think the only people I would end up putting on it would be those whose gamechat I found disagreeable. But in all the games I've played over the years (not many, I grant!) I have probably come across less than a handful of such people.

So I'd be similar to BoganGod---foe those who irritate me.

Hmmm, that might not be true. Considering that INF and Negative INF meet .. sort of, INF + 1 is either neg INF, or the lowest number you can go that isn't Neg INF. Either way, I'll stop being a pedantic, probably wrong nerd for now

And back on topic, I am a noob, I know it, but I am getting a little better, and actually winning some games now. I really don't give a monkeys backside if anyone foes me, there are thousands of people on this site, and I am happy to play any of them ... except the cheaters and whiners, of course.

You can get to INF by dividing a floating point number by zero, unless you divide zero by zero which gives you NaN.

I play mostly 2 player freestyle games so i foe anyone who uses the clickable maps app as it is a game cheat!
Other than that, any ? who deadbeats 1 round is foed, and any player who prolongs a game just to be annoying.
