Well I'm sure that's all very interesting, Woodruff, but given that we were talking about the banning of JimBoston here, I can't help but feel that it's somewhat irrelevant.

Jog along, buddy. Nothing for you to see/fully-comprehend here.

I'm pretty sure you stopped talking about me after the first post... and the remaining posts between you and john9blue were just that... between you two.

I noticed you didn't mention whether or not you thought that second ban was appropriate.

I actually an very interested in your answer (Doc)... as I honestly didn't think you would take offense at the post that got me banned. I could be wrong... but I think the mods acted on their own... though if it was offensive that's different.

Good for you. You are however, wrong.

It is not for me to question or judge the decisions of the valued mods.

However, I will say that if I personally was a valued mod then I would not have banned you for the comment which caught you your second ban, I was mildly surprised that they chose to action it.

Pretty much half of the top posters and forum contributors from a year or two ago were banned until they just gave up or got perma-banned. 10% are still here... the rest moved on

Other then that it was mostly trolling by means of creating dozens of threads in flame wars, flaming and trolling and things I don't really remember.
Don't you remember ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!
It must have been a good one. I remember being unreasonably pissed-off.
hehe, yeah. It was hilarious. I remember that someone posted a thread asking why everyone had the hypnotoad av and then discovering that he had it too.

It got even funnier when it turned out that nagerous could change all avs and I discovered that for some reason I couldn't remove people from the av-list.
Aaah, I remember that, the built-in feature of setting clan-member's avatars... Are you allowed to lead a usergroup again, btw?

My first run-in with the modsquad as it was called back then didn't result in a ban, but it did result in a change in the guidelines. Yes, it's true, I'm responsible for the third point under nudity specifics. It's my fault we can't use nipples as avatars.

I got my first warning for a link to a Wikipedia article. The pornography debates of late 2008... those were the days.
Even though reverend kyle was perma-banned for posting pics that would be considered softcore for the hot & sexy thread. But I do remember that one, and I think I was the first one to say that you would get banned for it (didn't report it, just saw it coming).

I think your math sucks. Or we have very differing opinions on what constitutes "top poster" and "forum contributors".

i was banned for many a drunken outburst in a bygone era. shit, some of the stuff i used to say would get me site banned nowadays.

since i came back i've been banned for mildly calling timminz and for writing the truth about muslim extremists who sponge off the very country they want to harm.

i have a feeling that andy tries to get certain people onto the verge of a 6 month ban by using feeble excuses. he knows that that will be enough to self moderate their own posts.

Of all the top posters I can think of, I think only 2 of them were perma-banned, wicked and reverend kyle. The rest are either still around (myself for example) or left of their own will (fircoal, misterman10, hecter, etc).

You seem to have an over inflated opinion of your posting abilities.
There is a 3 tier level to anything in the world to be judged
1. Great 5%
2. Average 70%
3. Shit 25%

Never once in all my time here have I ever thought that muy thaiguy was a great poster. Sorry mate. Time to re evaluate where you fall in life

"Top poster" implies top number of posts. Last I checked, I still had one of the highest number of posts on this site. I never claimed "great." You did in your 2nd post here.

That was badly worded with bad math (my worst subject). To me this forum(others have gotten better) are not as active as it once was. Maybe because there is less stupid posting.

Forum contributors was a bad term.. but top posters makes sense. The ones who were commonly in mafia games, posting in all the threads and occasionally getting banned for trolling/spamming. I may be a little biased because I'm in Spamalot. But I'm pretty correct in saying that most top-posters of the past have been banned or moved on.

A week! Apperently the mods judge for themselves whether what one posts is "meaningful" enough.

I bumped that old thread illogical fixations on race. It had 62 pages of discussion on it, and it was a very good discussion.

Lesson learned. Instead of posting in a topic which already exists, Just start a new one!

Banned for double posting and necrobumping. Actually I am quite used to having the book thrown at me, even in real life. People like to nail the smart guy when he misspells a word.

CLAPPER! I saw how you let an Anus go without much of a chide. Way to stay on top of necrobumping though. Exactly what is wrong with the world. Why did not you just ask me to delete the stupid post? Oh, cuz you wanted to martyr me.
