1. f*ck all of you that think Napoleon Dynamite is over-rated. That movie was genius.
2. You think Fight Club and 2001: Space Oddessey are over rated Mets and others? lolbbq what's wrong with you people!
3. And Woody, I'll just pretend you didn't put Matrix on there...
4. MasterFenrir, I'll just pretend you didn't put Super Troopers on there...

My list:

1. I think we all agree taht Titanic is over-rated
2. Braveheart *prepares for flak*. One of the two movies I've ever fallen asleep during.
3. Lethal Weapon. God I hate that movie. My brothers are obsessed with it (we own all of them) but I can't get past 5 minutes of taht shit.
I'm not a huge ND fan. It took me 5 years to even get around to watching the movie. I potentially even lost out on a job when I did not know ND during an interview. But I'll admit its genius in its own way.

I think Fight Club is OK but I can see why it might make the over-rated list given its immense popularity. Over-rated does not mean bad.

Super Troopers is a classic and it was never rated that highly in the long run.

Braveheart/Lethal Weapon: I dont want to watch those movies over and over but they were good for their time. There's no way they make the over-rated list. They are unique and were successful without being overhyped.

I don't understand why this movie is famous. Its like two and half hours long. Two of those hours are silent scenes of people walking or things slowly moving through space. The other half hour doesn't make any fucking sense. The parts with hal were good, though that's about 15 minutes. I also enjoyed the part with the Russians as I could understand their smalltalk.
Wicked! What are the russians talking about??

Also: things moving slowly through space? Set to the Blue Danube waltz? Man, that gives me a semi just thinking about it. One of the most beautiful scenes in any science fiction movie ever.

There were talking about when they would go to the restaurant. (two a clock or in two hours, I can't remember)

Sure it was pretty but where's the story? I dunno I guess I'm just terribly uncultured.

1.)No Country for Old Men- DID NOT DESERVE THE OSCAR, There Will Be Blood was robbed, I say!

2.)Across the Universe- I love the Beatles. I really fucking hate this movie to my core. I was endlessly annoyed by all the "OMG, I love that movie, the Beatles are soooo kewl"

3.)Any movie Adam Sandlers ever been in- I hate that fucking douche, he is NOT funny.

1) I'll watch any movie with Tommy Lee Jones and i thought the hit man was awesome, but the plot sucked donkey balls and the end of the movie left me like WTF???

2) Never heard of it.

3) I would probably have found Adam Sandler funny all the way thru 7th or 8th grade. Juvenile to the max.

The hangover - I didn't laugh at this.

Lord of the rings - I tried to watch one of these and couldn't take it seriously, and I like sci-fi.

monty python movies - The little I saw, I wasn't impressed.

Some that were mentioned. I wasn't that impressed with scarface, don't remember if I finished it. 2001 a space odyssey I saw as a kid, don't remember it being very good, but maybe I'll try it again.

Yeah I remember when that movie ended and I was in theater I felt so betrayed. Like "What the hell was that!!!! that isn't an ending!" A real disappointment comming from The Cohen Brothers who have directed some of my favorite movies ever, like Raising Arizona, Oh, Brother where art thou, and The Big Lebowski.
2) Never heard of it.
You are lucky. I could start a whole thread on how much I hated that movie but I don't want to give myself an Ulcer.

Monty Python as a whole are totally overratted, but i did think the bring out your dead scene and where they run around clomping the coconut shells were pretty funny.

The Hangover was a well disguised formula movie I thought. I can see where you're coming from.

Debbie Does Dallas, absolutely the most overrated movie of all time...then, i would say, that movie with the big fat black actress who is a single mom in high school, I think it is called "Precious"...but Lord of The Rings ROCKED!

Mary Poppins is still solid for children and if it wasn't for that movie we'd have no Sherry Bobbins!

I'll support LoR when they release the versions that don't show 40 minutes per movie close-ups of the ring. Seriously, they could have made all those movies under 2 1/2 hours if they show a little f'ing restraint.

Field of Dreams definitely had the most inane plot of any movie i've ever seen. Costner and Jones actually made it watchable but without them the movie never would've made it to theatres. That being said, your inclusion of District 9 leaves me wondering whether you have any sense of humor whatsoever.

All I know about District 9 is that I was looking forward to seeing it; when I did I spent half the fucking movie wondering why the f*ck a giant cockroach-squid thing would name himself Christopher first of all. Second, sorry but nice try at the whole racism documentary style sub-plot thing...lame, unoriginal, (see #4) and boring. Third, the shitty 'alien' dialect. The whole movie was like the tutorial level of a crappy first person shooter.
If you haven't yet seen District 9, I'm gonna tell you how it ends right now....you being pissed off that you spent 2 hours wasting your time.
