Ok for the sake of argument, let's pretend Spin has 1/2 a brain and could pull off claiming doc as mafia. The fact is, he didn't role claim until after he was lynched. So for that to happen would mean he would have to have known there was a role that could save him. I just don't see that as very likely.

Plus it's so obvious he's a noob. I mean he votes someone just for voting or FOSing him. yes, he's a liability, but I'm sure the mafia will target him early b/c he has claimed. So if he's still alive in a couple days, then we'll lynch him, but for now we have to give him the benefit of the doubt, not matter how much we really really really want to see him gone.

That's true. And it's not like an experienced played would jump and and shout 'Hey, I'm the doctor, you lying bastard!' The whole theory didn't rate as terribly likely, but I'm trying to get better at looking at all potential ramifications of a person's roleclaim. Maybe I'm just spooked after houssam's actions in MB's game.

It's rather funny that everyone is jumping down my throat because when I got back to a computer after a few days of being away, I didn't immediatley read through every single post. I made a post about the fact that spinwizard is being an idiot, and acting like a mafia by rapid voting changes. When did FOSing on something I observed become a federal offense?
Fact is, I've been busy, but guess what; I've read through what I missed now. So by all means, continue to have a hay day about it if you want to, but you'll be wasting your time

Oh no, I get it crystal clear. You're pussyhurt because I chose to post about what I saw spin write, instead of reading first.

And after having read through it, I still have my FOS on spin, and still for the same reasons, plus the fact that I think he's just trying to play it stupid.

But now, going back to the first few pages, I think random.org may have actually been right. For dummies claims that he is innocent becuase of the fact that he's shooting off about finding who really is the mafia. Now, I've done that in just about everygame, but when I was actually mafia, I preached it like it was my day job.
Now, he hasn't posted in quite some time after getting accused, which could be for perfectly legit reasons, or it could be because he's got something to hide and he wants the suspicion surrounding him to die down a bit before he comes back into the game

I'm not voting at all right now. All I've put out on spin is an FOS. I think you've got the right idea of waiting a few days, and finding out if he turns up dead. Perhaps he is telling the truth, perhaps he's lying. Right now, I don't think it's necesarily in our best interest to lynch him, but it is a good idea to keep an eye on him, and hope to god that he doesn't keep spouting off annoying posts

Even though you look scumy, this did cross my mind. Dummies pumped his chest out like he was this strong townie guy demending answers. I remember RD doing that samething durning autoload's last game.

When I played mafia, I thought it would be a good tactic, and for the most part it worked.

If for dummies is mafia, it's understandable why he would want to disappear for a little while.

Even though theres already one out there, FOS for dummies

It's like wisse can't help himself. I probably put more thought and care into that one post than wisse has in this whole game. Let's say for the sake of argument that wisse is town. All he'll conceptually be able to do is spam the thread or get roped into a bandwagon, and he's ripe for a lynching later in the game. I never like the idea of voting off townies (I've given shit to people for being cavalier about such), but I remember from MB's game how cblake was so chaotic that he played a part in handing the game to houssam. Certain townies can hurt us almost as bad as mafia. (and thanks, MB)

This was pretty much how I read minkish's first post today. The fact that minkish totally missed spinwizard's roleclaim doesn't speak well of him. And ever since he's been defending his decision not to go back and read the thread, like it's a school assignment that he's shirking. Mink, if you don't want to play, that's cool. Just ask auto to replace you. But if you're going to play, and be regarded as town, you really need to pay attention.

I don't know what 'watching the thread' is supposed to mean. I do feel a swell of pride being rated at the same level of high suspicion as wicked. Spin does seem to be a little too hung-up on wicked. As far as me, well, at least this time spin spelled my name correctly. Seriously, tho, I dunno what I've done to rate the highest level of suspicion, unless spin thinks that somehow my role from auto's last game carried over to this one. Yeah, I voted for him, but I explained my reasons. Plus, lots of people voted for him that didn't draw the dreaded red label.

Here's the weird thing about spin: how clever is he? 'Cause if it were, say, someone like Mach in that situation, I totally wouldn't put it past him to be mafia and CLAIM doctor, hoping the other doctor surfaces to refute his claim. I don't want to get into another big spin thing, but I'm not 100% sold on his roleclaim. Of course, nothing in this game is 100%.Holy crap, this turned into a long post. Mink, I don't know how I n make it any cleearer - In a mafia game you have to read all the posts. The only people that don't are mafia (since they know who the other mafia are) but even they would have to if there was more than one mafia group.

That said, even mafia should read so they can tell that spin is the doc.

Spin, you yourself have said, on several occasions, that you're an idiot. I don't hold it against you, inasmuch as you're theoretically a doctor and might protect me at some point, but seriously. You need to bring your A game when you're playing in an autoload game.

Oh, and as for the FD thing that was brought up earlier, I need to think about it. FD had his whole 'I can't get to my computer but I'm going to post and FOS someone right away' thing going in the last game, but I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, at least for the next day or two, and give him the opportunity to respond.

Thanks Incandenza! my "mafia hunter" actions may have seemed scummy to you but seriously this wasn't just a mafia ploy. At that time no one was discussing the game, only other random things that didn't help at all. The only reason i yelled at people is that it seemed to be the very experienced mafia players who were spamming. If you really think about it hard it is obvious i am town. A mafia member would keep on spamming hoping that people would never get around to talking and find him or his mafia mates out. No mafia would start the mafia member discussion up again because then there would be a possibility that a mafia member could be killed. Really when you look at it from my angle there is no way i could be in the mafia.

oh yeah FOS: Minkish He first did a mafia like thing (not reading all the pages just skimming) Then he got all defensive about it. and now he is just being an asshole.
