Puzzle Map Idea

Post by Robinette »

Has anyone made a "Puzzle Map"?

It would be quite easy to remove connections just by "deleting" a piece...
And shapes could vary slightly to increase or decrease connections if desired...

Image

And nearly any pictured theme is possible...
It was just a thought, so i thought i would deposit it here...

you wouldnt really have to... you could make it like poker club or berlin, only needed a section of them (not in a grouping) to have a bonus, I like it!

This could be the New Classic Map!

Think about it, it is still a map of the world, but not really since it is a puzzle. If we say put the table underneath the map, instead of another world map, and added the rest of the pieces on the outskirts, it would not look like classic at all, so Hasbro would not have any problems with it.

Very similar to Classic Shapes currently, except the graphics are way better, even in the drafting room. Well done, Robinette.

Well, I do not so much care for classic since I have only played it on several occasions and those because someone of higher rank started a game on it.

I just do not think that we should have 104 maps with really good graphics, and then 3 maps which you can barely tell what they are and that have no real well defined theme. They are just some ugly spot on the site, and since Lack does not want to get rid of the maps altogether (which he can't since there are too many games finished on them), we may as well cover them up with good graphics.

I doubt the three: 2 Classics, and Centerskape would get to the Main part of the map foundry, and then definately never to the Final Forge. We should have quality in every map, rather than in "most" maps.

Me myself and I are not a map-making team...
so if there is anyone who wants to run with this, please do so!

Just perusing thru old ideas and thought of something for this:

Hmm... Would this be worth reviving? You/me/someone could do something interesting like have a one-way attacks as shown below:

Or you could make a puzzle version of the world. Idk. Thoughts?
