Remove All Feedback

Post by Monaco »

To me feedback has become an annoying feature of this game. 90 percent of the people here are mature enought to use it properly. Its the 10 percent of childish idiots that blame their losses on other people that ruins it for everyone. These certain few people seem to thrive on giving negitive feedback. It seems to give them a false sense of power. Actually what they need is to grow up and get a life. I think most people through their own gameplay know the players to game with and those to avoid. Who needs the aggravation caused by feedback? Who needs to be spammed by people with heads full of sawdust? Drop Feedback.

To be honest I agree, its a waste of space. The only time its useful is if you're looking through games to join. But if you create a game, its usually to late to vet the player before it starts, and even if you do get a chance you can't reject the player, you have to drop the whole game and start again.
I say just use the ignore list.

Yea the feedbacks help to weed out undesirables. I always look at someone's nf before i play them if i can. It's pretty easy (ususally) to determine by a person's nf whether or not they are someone you do or do not want to get in a game with. The frivolous ones are easy to spot and ignore. I've put a couple on my ignore list because of nfs that they gave.

I find the feedback system very useful.

I always check out negative feedback, hopefully before the game starts, but if necessary after the game has started.

I think it is a generally fair system since one is given the opportunity to respond to it.

If the negative feedback is blatantly wrong, it is possible to appeal to have it removed.

I think it's acceptable to have some negative feedback and don't have a problem playing with someone in that category.

But excessive negative feedback or feedback for abusive language (which is easy enough to check in the referenced game's chat) are enough for me to conclude my time is better spent playing someone else.

the place really would be a disaster without it...the chats would have ten times as much nonsense as they do now...at least now, if someone is annoying, its probable they will have been called out numerous times, and you can decide ahead of time if its worth dealing with it...its also the only defense against secret alliances, since those are really not enforceable by the mods...

postives are hardly as useful, but they do give everyone an op to give support for a good player, and encourage a new player as well....some of us type out a lot of them.. :D some dont...so the number isnt as meaningful as it could be...but if the system was dropped for a week, there would be ten times as many flamewar posts...and everyone, except the problem people would be asking for it to be reinstated...

and monaco, i thought that avatar looked familiar...couldnt place it at first...
