Concise description:
  • We all know that there is a list of maps that are blocked from New Recruits. Thing is, this list isn't exactly accessible to anyone unless they go into the forums and actually search for it.
  • My suggestion, is that somewhere up top, either under Instructions, where it lists what settings is blocked from New Recruits, have a link to a list of every single map that is either: A. Blocked from them, or B. A list of maps that they are able to use.
Specifics/Details: How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Recently a player came into Live Chat asking why his friend couldn't find his game. After listing all the settings he had, I asked what map he used. After doing a lengthy search, I finally discovered that his map he chose was blocked from New Recruits joining it.
  • This can help New Recruits who join with a bunch of friends who want to play a game, and for people who want to know the list.

Good point. Lack does spend a lot of time on the forums.

I have added a list of maps available to New Recruits to the completed map list in the Viewing Gallery of the Foundry: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 4#p2831894

I believe (although cannot be certain) that this page is linked from somewhere on the instructions which mentions the maps?

the list needs to be updated. Maybe lack can put together a small committee of people to keep this list up to date.

I think they should be able to play seasonal maps. Definitely not Poison Rome, though.

Please don't use such a bright green...that hurt(s). Anywho, I wouldn't move this to implemented just yet. I think a more organized way that's less user dependent and official should be implemented, possibly, as stated earlier, as a link under Instructions or Help.

As pointed out a couple years ago, the list for maps available to new players is the second post in this thread: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 58&t=79067

The original suggestion contained a good idea to link this to the instructions where it says that new players are blocked from playing certain maps.

If I was a new player, I would certainly find this information more quickly through the instructions than by clicking through the foundry and knowing to read all the way down to the second post if I did find the proper thread.

If this simple suggestion (adding one hyperlink) isn't going to be implemented, then why not move it to rejected?

Better yet, why not add the hyperlink and move it to implemented?

This suggestion is about telling farmers which map they don't want to play because no NR can join?

Since the list is out of date and not yet linked from the instruction, I am pulling this out of Implemented Suggestions. Any further comments about the details of how this should work before I resubmit it?

The maps tag at the top has all of the info in it. It lets everyone know what maps are playable by new recruits.
