Keith....I have a problem understanding the rules you have written. There is some ambiguity and also some discrepancy.

"Your team doesn't have to win...just don't be the first team eliminated! The objective of this tournament is to not the be the first team eliminated in the game. Once the first team is eliminated, the next round will start up with all remaining players from the previous game.
16 teams to start...only 1 will survive.
The first round will begin with 4 teams per group. The last team alive at the end of the elimination round will advance to the finals with the other remaining teams, where they will play a 3 game final round, with the first player eliminated in each game being knocked out until there again is one player left. The final two teams will play a best of 3 final to crown the winner."

i) you say "don't be the first team eliminated", then in para 2 you say "with the first player eliminated in each game being knocked out until there is one player left". Surely you mean 'team' not 'player'? If it was first player knocked out then you're not going to kill your team mate for his cards in a hurry are you!

ii) as I understand the format, each group starts with 4 teams, then 3, then 2. Each of these teams meet in a "one game knockout" until you have a winner from each group. These 4 winners then play a best-of-3 final. Why then did Tamriel's last two teams have to play a best-of-3? This isn't what the rules say at all. According to the rules they should have just played one game against the other team that wasn't knocked out in Games 1 or 2.

Each group plays a best 2 of 3 final to decide the group winner. This is always the case in all my Musical Chair tournaments. It seems as though I didn't clarify that properly when creating the Doubles version for the TPA. The winner of the best of three moves on to the final group at which point it is single elimination for each team, with the last 2 remaining teams playing a best 2 of 3 final.

In regards to your comment about the terms "team" and "player", yes that was a typo and was supposed to be "team". thanks for pointing that out.
