Did we ever come to the consensus that mandy's claim was VT? Or true? Everyone got caught up in the Violet lynch, and they just forgot about his out of the blue claim. I mean really he claimed to be some sort of sibling role with pmc.

I also think that, maybe as soon as Day 2 I may be forced to protect, bodyguard or (ye gods!) be his chump Lover.

Right there he says he has the ability to protect.

I'm Mr. White. Given how insanely supportive pmchugh has been towards me, I must conclude that he is Mr. Orange and that we are going to mason up in the near future, but he has been briefed about it in advance.

Is he claiming that he's a sibling or mason, but doesn't know for sure? He did say that he thought it might be event-triggered. Does such a role exist? Really he only based his claim because pmc was voting for nagerous because nag didn't ever deny being scum in response to day 1 voting.

I think he was saying that he's VT right now, but he suspects that there'll be an event in the future that'll change that and he'll end up masoned up with pmc, or as a bodyguard or whatever.

Yeah, it makes no goddamn sense, but I'm new here and everyone seems to have just shrugged it off, so I'm guessing this sort of "interesting" logic isn't something exactly new for Mandy?

First of, FOS everyone who participated in the "has he claimed VT?" discussion for skimming.

I have a sudden need to role-claim because I kind of feel a deja vu to Sherwood and I think I know who one scum is. I also think that, maybe as soon as Day 2 I may be forced to protect, bodyguard or (ye gods!) be his chump Lover. What do you guys think?

P.S. I plan to claim just the name, not the role itself.

Secondly, my vote stays on aage since I already suspected him during Day 1 (before I went beserk on Pmc) and I always trust my instincts. Seriously, given who died I totally buy PMC & Aage mafia. All we need to do now is 1) lynch those two, 2) find the third sumster and then 3) sing the happy "Go town, go town, Fircoal like to wear a gown!" song.

Anyway, if you insist - I am in fact a townsperson,I just wouldn't say I was town as I wanted to see who was out there hunting a bandwagon. Scum usually try and slip a third vote on or so on day one, in order to try and build a case against someone who might as well be an easy lynch. The logic of both karel and mandy is taking a quick turn. I especially am annoyed by Mandy, not just because of the vote on me, but because you're pretending it all to be so awfully obvious. Well, I can tell you one thing: it's not. I can't say anything about Pmc because I'm not in his team, but for my part, you're just using assumptions and false arguments to try and get me killed. I have to agree with everyone else about the above. It's probably the scummiest thing said so far in this game.

First an "excuse" for submarining, but he didn't say like, "hey, i was bussy, i'll be more active from now on", instead he uses an excuse that will also explain future submarining.

Then an attempt to draw attention on others and "contribute" that's so weak i really can't believe that he honestly bought it himself.

There's 2 positions that i think are consistent with that reply:

1. He is scum, tries to explain away his submarining and tries to get a lynch going even though he obviously doesn't believe in it himself.

2. He really was just inactive and so made that post to try to explain that fact(badly), and then made a really weak attempt at contributing so that he isn't accused of being inactive any more.

I can't really decide between these 2 right now, so i won't vote yet.
Any ideas?

Maybe you haven't kept up with the discussion so far, maybe you're doing it on purpose trying to make me look like an untrustworthy person, but in the comment you have been quoting, I was just trying to get people to constructively think about the facts.

As I said in the post you so conveniently ignored, I think scum most likely got Violet lynched day 1. looking back, I see Haggis posted a very offensive post right after Violet made her 'scummy' comment (which turned out to be completely innocent).

In the new light of ga7 and Haggis, the core of the people who got Violet lynched, trying to set me up for innocent behaviour, thus repeating the trick, I suspect they might be scum.

So yeah, the votes on/by the two victims last night probably say nothing.
What about the votes that got the bandwagon on Violet started? It's very likely there's scum among those who voted Violet.
Not saying everybody is suspect. Hell, I almost finished the lynch myself if somebody else hadn't been quicker. Still, I do feel some people have been pushing the lynch on Violet too much on Day 1.


@ga7: Not really a defense, just saying you don't have a proper offense. Look, I understand why you suspect me. I'm just telling you, lurking has never been part of my strategy, and nor is it now.

So, yeah, basically you decide the first contribution you made is ridiculous so you suggest an almost as ridiculous alternative, then you reiterate your very convenient "excuse" for submarining.

The fact that it turned out that violet made that claim because she was bored or something is irrelevant. You have to assume that people play using SOME reason and logic or you can't deduce anything. Now, please tell me, what possible reason would anyone have for saying "Gee let's vote no lynch, i wish it was night already".
My suggestion, far fetched as it is, still seems most likely to me. It just turns out the assumption was wrong in this case, violet wasn't using any reason when she made that post.

I did not think of Violets comment as a scumtell.
No scum would show their urge for a nightkill like that. I thought of it more as somebody realizing how long a Day1 can take.

Of course, when she refused to claim, she had to be lynched, but I still think she was pressurized too quickly and too systematically.
