Just curious, Did you read the article? It makes no indication the man was a Republican activist or even a Republican. He maybe a Republican for all I know, but this article and any other one I can find does not say that. You read someone was assaulted and automatically assumed it was a Republican.

As far as the Tea Party goes this particular candidate does not attend Tea Party Rallies and they do not support him. So this really has nothing to do with the Rand Paul incident

Violence and politics are, and have always been, inextricably linked. Anyone who doesn't believe that is utterly delusional. The mere act of voting is an act of violence; it's the empowerment of a group to use police power - guns, clubs, etc. - to enforce your will on the minority.

The people who support the pig Obama are weak. Perhaps not weak in numbers or motivation, but weak in raw strength. They are disarmed lambs who will wilt at the first sign of confrontation. The people who oppose him are powerful. This is a symbolic demonstration of their virility; an opponent laying prone on the ground, utterly unable to even shield herself let alone fight back. By humiliating her they have sent a message to those like her to put-up or shut-up.

The MoveOn gang is a group of stuttering apologists for the institutional left who will blindly follow the great pig as he votes away freedoms through FISA, as he continues his wars of global aggression, as he makes no effort to end the occupation of Korea, as he fights to suppress LGBT civil rights and as he orders extra-judicial executions. It seems only fair that they would be subject to some of the same extra-judicial violence they're supporting through their endorsement of the pig Obama's sycophants. No really important change has ever occurred without raw muscle to back it up.


I'm clearly on the opposite side of the political spectrum as the so-called Tea Party but I found this video inspiring.

Except there was no assault, except by the woman in the video. She tried to attack the candidate, security stopped her, an idiot started to step on her, and the others immediately stopped him from doing so. So yeah, sounds like a massive amount of support for assault.

To be fair Tim Proffitt has been charged with misdemeanor 4th Degree Assault (the others who physically touched Lauren Valle have not been charged and most likely won't as they were engaged in legal arrest of a crime-in-progress) and Valle is supposedly going to be charged with 2nd Degree Trespassing, a charge for which she's currently awaiting trial in Louisiana from a separate incident.

So, if a so-called moderate "sanity" supporter were writing the headline it would read:

the plural of the word "supporter", unambiguous use of the word "assault" and non-equitable itemization of charges against one party versus the other in the headline, makes this a non-moderate - "insane" as Colbert would say - headline charged with the language of political intolerance
