So... Since we really don't know anything yet... Why are we voting people? We're gonna lynch our cop or doctor or some shit... That would be bad... Anyone explain that to me?

Usually we joke around till someone does something odd, then we lynch them if it can't be explained. D1 is kinda random.

Where the hell did this come from? Noone really pressured you and you have small amount of votes on you. Why say anything?
LOL, it was supposed to be humorous, but I was a bit tired when I wrote it, so I guess I made it too realistic.
theherkman wrote:FOS for random voting with absolutely no reason. Are you trying to throw suspicion anywhere other than yourself?
Random voting is fairly common on day 1. However, we are swiftly approaching the point of this day 1 where there have been enough possibly scummy things said that a random bandwagon will form on one of those people...
theherkman wrote:But isn't it statistically probable that we will vote off a townie rather than the mafia though...
Statistically yes it is but statistics don't get too much better if you don't try to sniff out scum on day 1. A wagon doesn't always end in a lynch or even a role claim but it can help fish out information about possible scum. Voting day 1 is going to be a lot more sporatic than most days but it's useful. Often scum are found farther in later days because of slip ups they made early on in the game or scum they associated themselves on day 1. other than that, statistics are better than what they look like if you consider that we aren't just lynching a random person, if we lynch anyone we try to lynch the person who is the most suspicious based on scum tells. It also helps in the fact that it gives powerroles a better idea of who they should use their abilities on over night. Even a mislynch can give us information as to who possible scums could be.
As far as no lynch, it's in no way out of the equation. Often it just depends on how the day goes and size of the game.
