I would suspect that the only way to implement it yourself would be to create a GM script like yeti_c was going to do a while ago.OliverFA wrote:I am even considering implementing it myself when Research and Conquer finally gets finished. Don't know if that's a possibility, but I would certainly be open to it.
I have no doubt that Lack himself is really busy. I can only imagine how bogged down he gets in the overhead of running a site like this. My understanding is that that is the exact reason he hired a web developer to get the updates to the site going again. It's not how busy lack is that concerns me, is how busy (or lack there of) that the web developer is. There are so many great suggestions that are sitting around gathering dust, many of which from a code perspective should be relatively simple to implement.TheForgivenOne wrote:If you people only knew how busy lack really was...
If you would notice, we don't have a web developer. The 2 lack tried left.-=- Tanarri -=- wrote:I have no doubt that Lack himself is really busy. Ahh, that would explain a lot then. I didn't even realize that lack had tried 2 of them, I was only aware of the one from several months ago that was announced.TheForgivenOne wrote:If you would notice, we don't have a web developer. is lack too demandingTheForgivenOne wrote:Yes, I believe you are referring to newtonboy. He quit after about a month, then we went to sw0rdf1sh. Same thing.
No, they wouldn't commit the time or duration to the projects that lack had going, plus from my knowledge, they had other projects going as well, aside from CCgreenoaks wrote:is lack too demandingTheForgivenOne wrote:Yes, I believe you are referring to newtonboy. and when will all our suggestions get implemented
I believe that's what they were doing. I wonder if looking for one within the user base wouldn't work better since they would have more incentive to get things done.OliverFA wrote:Maybe you should look for the web programmer in the job market instead of within the user base?
I hope it works out. It would be really nice to see regular gameplay updates to the site again.TheForgivenOne wrote:I believe that is what lack is going to try next, once his life settles down.

Again, I pointed out, lack is extremely busy right now. If he had the time to look for a Web Developer, he would, but he has a lot of personal reasons to be away from CC right now.fumandomuerte wrote:According to the light review from Play Risk Online our beloved Conquer Club lacks Major Command's vitality. I, for one, partially agree, specially when it comes to updates-related topics like this.
I do understand how hard it is to keep a site like this but you have a lot of people paying for a good service...
