Private forum activity......

So I have a question.....I am curious how active other clan / group forums are. Oue group, xigames, was one of if not the first group here (we began over 8 years ago and opened a branch here as soon as it was avail)....we are not a competitive clan, just a group of friends with similar thoughts as to how one should play....

Anyhow, our private forum here has 33 pages and 1600 topics....most of us use our forum almost exclusively.

How does this compare to some of the other established groups here? Say the Dragoons or THOTA.....?

33 pages and 1600 topics tells us nothing about how active your actual group is. For all I know you all have 1600 total posts or maybe 25,000 total posts.

For example, empire probably only has 30 topics because we have rules about making any new topics, no one wants to go digging through 33 pages of crap to find the thread they are looking for. We have a general thread set up for anything you could possibly want to talk about and no one starts new threads. But I am guessing the clans you mention as well as ours and some others are very lively. I would think we have at minimum 10 posts a day in our thread and a lot of times many more than that.

Well in general, most players that do join a clan do have to make some sort of initiative to show activity. Clans center around team games, and team games center around communication, so forum posting and clans kinda go hand-in-hand. Not always the case, as i know of players in my and other clans that communicate well in games but just dont have time to browse the forums, and that's fine as long as they check in with someone to let them know theyre still active/confirm games.

As for the original question, it really depends on who is around for AOD. We have a couple players that will post in multiple threads a day, and others who only post a few times a month. Different times of the year show different activity as well, so we probably only average around 5/day, and usually 4 of them have nothing to do with the clan at all...

AOD is currently 632 Topics, 10070 Posts, we used to use a forum outside of CC up until my reign of terror.

Before entering into your forum, you should be able to view a tally of how many topics/posts there are in any forum you have access to (I.E. take a look at the public forums, and you can see the current count of Topics/Posts).

One afternoon I had some spare time at work and whipped up a Directory for the THOTA forum, links to all challenge threads, strategy discussions, etc, so everything's basically a click away. Paid for itself (time-wise, of course) long ago. I recommend the practice highly.

Interesting......I now see ours has 25,000 total posts....

We also have the standard list of stickies that are cc / group related...very helpful to have that organization...lol. The rest is personal bs ;o)

Empire = Forum Nazi's

Though I can understand given CC won't give a clan leader mod powers over their forum.
