question about possible abuse/cheating

Post by dmcox1 »

Accused:

Tezu

The accused are suspected of:

Other: User appears to be gaining spoils by bombarding/annihilating a nuetral player's troop each turn. His first turn looked like this:
2010-11-05 07:10:56 - Tezu got bonus of 5 troops added to Barbarians Castle
2010-11-05 07:10:56 - Tezu received 3 troops for 1 regions
2010-11-05 07:10:57 - Tezu deployed 3 troops on Barbarians Castle
2010-11-05 07:10:58 - Tezu assaulted Barbarians 1 from Barbarians Castle and conquered it from neutral player
2010-11-05 07:11:00 - Tezu assaulted Barbarians 5 from Barbarians 1 and conquered it from neutral player
2010-11-05 07:11:02 - Tezu assaulted Barbarians 2 from Barbarians 1 and conquered it from neutral player
2010-11-05 07:11:07 - Tezu reinforced Barbarians Castle with 6 troops from Barbarians 1
2010-11-05 07:11:11 - Tezu ended the turn and got spoils

He hasn't conquered another territory since, however, on each turn, the log looks like this:
2010-11-10 17:02:33 - Tezu got bonus of 5 troops added to Barbarians Castle
2010-11-10 17:02:33 - Tezu received 2 troops for holding 4 Barbarians Territories
2010-11-10 17:02:33 - Tezu received 3 troops for 4 regions
2010-11-10 17:02:34 - Tezu deployed 5 troops on Barbarians Castle
2010-11-10 17:02:35 - Tezu bombarded Barbarians 3 from Barbarians Castle and annihilated neutral player's troops
2010-11-10 17:02:39 - Tezu reinforced Barbarians 5 with 45 troops from Barbarians Castle
2010-11-10 17:02:40 - Tezu ended the turn and got spoils

He has already turned in 1 set of spoils and currently shows 3 in his hand. So, is it cheating for a player who only has 4 territories (his initial 1 plus 3 conquered on turn 1) to have already accumulated 6 spoils on turn 6?

Um...NO...not cheating, it's the best way to play Feudal map(s)... I note you said "question" re this one...On the Form you (should have) filled out to post here it says "Be sure before you accuse someone"...if you have questions about play, there is another forum called, oddly enough, "Questions" suggest you post "questions" and let the C&A Mods concentrate on the bad guys & gals...
btw...the abuse past of your question - TEZ was recently in suggestions asking that pps without necessary experience should not be allowed to join Feudal with certain ranks playing...thort it sounded a bit eleteist at the time, but maybe you have given her more ammunition...lol

It seems ES may have forgotten to move it as such.
Moved.

Also, bombarding is a very familiar tactic used to get cards. It is a part of the gameplay and is noted in the Instructions.
Instructions wrote:Some maps allow a special type of assault called bombardment. Bombardment doesn't allow you to conquer once the opponent's forces are destroyed, instead it converts the opposing region to neutral.

^ It does NOT, however, make any mention that bringing an enemy (or neutral player) down to 1 via bombardment gives a spoil. Thanks a lot, CC. Thanks a lot. I'm currently in a game with this so-called Tezu, and I was wondering why she had only taken three regions but had five spoils.

The CC staff/mods needs to mention this in the Instructions.
