Actually, over the games I have discovered that voting Fir is very often a scumtell. Of course it (almost) always happen day 1 where votes are not very serious but it often shows two things:
-Voting the mod avoids voting for a player and leaves no trace on the vote record
-It avoids formulating any reason, yes even a joke one, which arguably could give trouble to a guilt ridden scum (yes, the kind that feels guilty just being scum. )
Obviously it's an ultra noob scumtell but it worked in the past and I think it could fit here

Read the rules. Fir doesn't care about unvotes. You decide the rest. In this case I indeed do suggest you vote someone else

One possibility would be if we were close to a lynch but new information came out that made that person seem innocent if the person who wanted to unvote didn't have anyone new to switch the vote to. Though I wonder if in the case that you don't switch your vote and simply unvote fir might count it...Not sure maybe someone who's played a fir game before knows more about the consequences.

Unvoting is possible. The rule is to serve for the purpose that if someone votes someone else and accidentally forgets to unvote when they vote someone else that it doesn't matter. I can't be bothered to keep track of who remembered to unvote, and it could lead to things that shouldn't be happening if you measured intent. You can unvote at any time and it will be counted, you just don't NEED to unvote to swtich your vote.
