Well, the attacker already has an advantage rolling 3 dice versus 2 (Unless you are attacking 3v or 2v), why give the attacker a bigger advantage? Just so people stop going crazy about the dice?Ocean Bagel wrote:I think the problem is that if you roll the same number the defender wins. Like, if you both get a 4, the defender wins. This changes the odds in favor of the defender.

No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. It DOES lessen the strength of the attacker's odds, but the attacker is still favored.Ocean Bagel wrote:I think the problem is that if you roll the same number the defender wins. Did you take into account that theres only a 6.7% chance of rolling a 1? the dice numbers skew the odds way more than defenders winning a tie. you should do some research before you say the attacker is favored manWoodruff wrote:No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. so you are saying give more advantage to the attacker? Considering a lot of times dice are rolled 3v2, there's an advantage to the attacker. Now we should give the advantage of dice too?darkmatter8888 wrote:Did you take into account that theres only a 6.7% chance of rolling a 1? the dice numbers skew the odds way more than defenders winning a tie. you should do some research before you say the attacker is favored manWoodruff wrote:No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. you do realize that the attacker has the advantage when rolling 3-2 right?darkmatter8888 wrote:Did you take into account that theres only a 6.7% chance of rolling a 1? the dice numbers skew the odds way more than defenders winning a tie. you should do some research before you say the attacker is favored manWoodruff wrote:No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. That is flat-out wrong. There is a 16.7% (approximately) chance of rolling a 1. Which is precisely the same percentage of rolling each of the other sides of the die.darkmatter8888 wrote:Did you take into account that theres only a 6.7% chance of rolling a 1?Woodruff wrote:No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. I should do some research? That's pretty funny...you should take a course in statistics before you say the attacker is NOT favored.darkmatter8888 wrote:the dice numbers skew the odds way more than defenders winning a tie. you should do some research before you say the attacker is favored man
Cute, but.. doesn't answer the games where both sides attackers are getting bad dice.Woodruff wrote: If you're getting bad dice, then someone is getting good dice. Thus, it has nothing at all to do with the random dice generator. It has only to do with your perspective on what the dice are doing. Change your perspective. Find your Zen.

Sure it does. It's right there. If you're getting bad dice, then your opponent is getting good dice. You see, contrary to some folks' idiotic opinions, it's NOT all about offensive dice. Defensive dice count too! I know, what a concept.stahrgazer wrote:Cute, but.. doesn't answer the games where both sides attackers are getting bad dice.Woodruff wrote: If you're getting bad dice, then someone is getting good dice. I don't like how you think, so it must be wrong [/sarcasm]Woodruff wrote:Sure it does. It's right there. If you're getting bad dice, then your opponent is getting good dice. thats not bad luck but bad strategy or even worse planning..Puma27 wrote:,,,,,,, I had 89 troops to take 29 troops and LOST, which was critical cause I needed the cards.

Simply that I get bad luck and someone else gets good luck, does not explain it.
Actually, it DOES explain it. Quite well, even.Puma27 wrote:I didn't read through all seven pages. But of course, is one person is getting bad dice, then the other is getting good dice.
But what about when the game basically MAKES you lose for 2 straight weeks? There are plenty of games I should have won. In the last day alone i have lost ridiculous dice. I split my deployments, making sure I attack with at least 4 troops. I play ALL maps. I play ALL styles. I had 89 troops to take 29 troops and LOST, which was critical cause I needed the cards.

Yes, it is very annoying. On the other hand, wait until you've got awesome dice for 2 weeks. It's awesome.Puma27 wrote:...But what about when the game basically MAKES you lose for 2 straight weeks? ...
