With you there, HA. He's down to 2 hours in a few games with me now (only about 5 or 6 games, so really nothing significant in the context of such a massive challenge) but it's what follows on behind that.HighlanderAttack wrote:I can tell you this--He better start taking turns soon or he is in deep trouble --990 turns to take and I would estimate 800 need to be taken in the next 12 hours--getting near impossible soon. Hope he has a super speedy PC.

The record is 1280, right?1155 results

I understand that it's a crazy challenge, but I guess what I don't understand is why you should do it. There are just so much more better ways to spend your time than sitting around by the computer for 16h a day playing riskHighlanderAttack wrote:It is something crazy to do--players like me love a stupid crazy challenge--the problem is players that want to go for this do not understand how much it takes to do it. Even thought theherkman planned out the joining of the games with great organization--he really did not see what it will take to actually take the turns. He told me he was working --the next two days--well in my opinion you cannot work while trying to do this--you have to put almost 20 hours a day towards this. At least 16.
How does the flag work for location--anyone know--It says he is in Jordan right now and I thought he was from Scotland.
Like I said--no one has been able to go over 700 games and not miss turns (including me) -I do think it is possible and if I ever had a shot at doing it again--I will do it and not miss turns--but no time soon. I am happy with my 100 active games and will be happier when they get under 80.

This whole thread has been a waste of time then--another failurejigger1986 wrote:He has already missed about 250 games in our 500 game series, and will miss another every 20 seconds
Yup, this is one crazy can of worms. There may be a rule put in place after this attemptHighlanderAttack wrote:This whole thread has been a waste of time then--another failurejigger1986 wrote:He has already missed about 250 games in our 500 game series, and will miss another every 20 seconds
AoN and myself did the best at this--but even we missed turns.
One day I will try it without missing turns--but until then players need to understand this takes at least 16 hours free time--really more than that--the turns will come flying at you over and over and over for at least four to six days--by that time you are so mentally and physically tired you don't want to play anymore.

After I fell asleep at the computer and missed about 20 turns--yes--For one day--it was a Saturday and I was down under 900 games I decided I was done. Like I said--no one has a pure record with this level of games.JoshyBoy wrote:HighlanderAttack, did you use babysitters when you took the record on?
I hope not--because in my sick twisted mind I want to try it again but without missing any turns--I have the experience to get it done--but I won't do it unless I have all the time and mental energy to try it the right way.phantomzero wrote:Yup, this is one crazy can of worms.
