That's what victor was saying - the color is good, we don't need to change it.

Crud, I was hoping to get my sign-up at least among the first 10, but a 24-hour stomach flu has stolen my dream. Well... if the member slots aren't limited to a Council of Ten, count me in ;)

I like the idea of taking binned maps and 'restoring' them. Sort of the thing a Historical Society does yes? Dust off old things and make them ready for display? It would be cool really to see a map signed by not a player but a usergroup- nobody angling for a medal, just a desire to see history re-created.

Im sorry to have crushed your dream, though it is peculiarly satisfying... :P

Anyways, I agree, a map signed by a usergroup would be the shiz! I wonder if we could get permission to develop a special event map or something and develop it in the usergroup forum...? Now THAT would be cool, though we would prolly have to get permission from MrBenn and sam and lack/Andy...

Terra is fictional, but it could certainly be modified to fit a historical map. I was more suggesting a gameplay concept than a graphical concept, if that makes sense.

You're in as soon as I ... er I mean WE get the official word from the powers that be.

Yes we can take binned maps as long as the original mapmaker gives us the okay. I was thinking the same thing, a map with OUR name on it instead of one or two particular people.

These could be good starts. My two maps would have to be done from scratch again but it shouldn't be any problem. I was figuring on resurrecting mu Western Fur Trade as it is probably this easiest one to get up going again. I also have an Eastern Fur Trade to go along with it ;)

Added the links into theBastards post to make it easier to get to those maps.

Well you wouldn't have to make a map, but we do ask that you help out on any maps we do make.

Industrial Helix sent me a pm and I am indeed interested.

I don't know whether or not I can be of service, but it looks like you guys could use a few more people regardless ;)

hi, I found this group and in definition you have this: "The Historical Cartographers Society is a group who enjoys playing and making historical maps. Our aim and goal is to add to the community some historically correct maps."

it is very nice to see any members and group with this aim. I can ask how much active is this group and how genuinely you look at your aim?

also do you look at maps in foundry to find historical/geographic mistakes?
