When you join up, declare whether you want to play from the top of the map selections or the bottom.
If there was 16 players, that would be two groups of 8. Each player will play the other 7 on 1 of the first 8 CC maps working down the way, ie from Classic to AOR2.
The bottom group will play from WWII Western Front to WWI Ottoman Empire, ie working up the way.
All games are 1v1 and you get a point for every win. Tie-breaks are head to head.
Once you have played the 7 other players in your section, you will play an 8th game against the corresponding player from the other section on the next map. So if you are top of the top section, your 8th game will be against the person who is top of the bottom section. 2nd place will play 2nd place and so on.
The player that finishes bottom of their section will be eliminated from the tournament.
Scores are then set back to zero and we continue with the next set of maps with the same format, 6 games against your group opponents and 1 game v someone from the other section and again, players bottom of the section are eliminated until we are down to just 2 players left. Final games will be a best of 3.
All map settings will be Auto, Seq, Flat, Unlimited, Foggy.
If more than 16 players join up, the maps used between the two sections will be subject to change. Also not using BETA maps but if one comes into play while the tournament is ongoing then it will be used which will also change the maps.
