Boo hoo, someone gave me a low rating. Someone doesn't think I'm great! How will I survive this!

Like it or not, a rating is a subjective opinion, and everyone is free to rate as they like. If someone doesn't like the way you play, or conduct yourself in gamechat, they're free to rate you poorly. If you don't like it, tough.

So the next time you get a bad rating, instead of going on a whiny rant on how the world is unfair and everyone is against you, how about doing some self-reflection... like figuring out the reason why you got a bad rating and then working on improving your own behaviour, so others won't have a reason to give you any more bad ratings in the future?

I have said it before and am still a firm believer in the natural order of things. So to avoid complications, just stick to the following rules when deciding what rating to give:

Cook - Private ranks - give 1 star (as this is all they deserve being at the bottom of the cc food chain)

Private 1st Class - Corporal 1st Class - give 2 stars (as they have managed to crawl out of the cesspit and so do deserve just a tad of recognition for their insignificant efforts)

Sergeant - Lieutenant - give 3 stars (as this is considered the average...or was...and let's face it, those who hold these ranks are pretty much average players)

Captain - Colonel - give 4 stars (as they are now really showing their need and desire to be amongst the elite class so need their fragile egos stroking)

Brigadier and above - give 5 stars (as they are simply the best and generally give each other 5 stars anyway as they are now part of the elite network that sorts out games before they start, have dice patches, crush junior players whilst farming, and generally a pretty darned clever at feeding their own egos but are always partial to further approbation from lower orders)

Stick to these rules and it takes the pain out of the decision.

You know it makes sense.
