One thing that will help the packers is it is a dome stadium, their offense is well suited for dome play. Though i must say this could very easily be a high scoring game or a low scoring game. Both defenses have the ability to shut teams out and both offenses have the ability to put up points.
I think that it's a high scoring game and the final possession will decide the game. the odds makers have this one right at 2.5 points. I feel like it will be decided by a field goal. either way should be a good one to watch.
Being a huge Packers fan, not a huge fan of the matchup. I think establishing a ground game will be the key to the game, and while GB is a solid unit between the tackles, they are prone to letting up the big runs every now and again. Not so worried about the passing game, as long as GB keeps Collins over the top of Wallace and alternate Tramon/Woodson on Ward, the only person I see hurting us is Heath Miller over the middle (GB's LBs not the best in coverage besides Bishop).
But still supporting the team, the battle will be fought between GB's offense and PIT's D, and should be something to see Polamalu try to read those 5 WR sets. Calling 27-21 GB, with a last minute INT by GB as such has been in all of their playoff games.

wonder how many CC'ers are American Football fans... or if you enjoy going to Super Bowl parties or making wagers.
I've hosted a party for the last few years, and to make it more fun for everyone, especially those who only come for the halftime show/beer/food, i built a 30 question spreadsheet where you have to predict who wins the coin toss, what the first commercial is, when there will be a turnover, who scores first, etc etc...
I'm almost done with this year's version, i need some fresh eyes to look it over and see if i made any glaring errors or if someone wants to suggest some different options for bets...
anyone care to check it out? its called the MasterBetter.
its built on an Excel spreadsheet, but i should be able to link it thru google docs, right? anyone have a better suggestion for sharing it?
damn, i tried to upload it but google docs said it is too big... they will only do up to 256 columns and my sheet is 306.
i had no idea it was that many columns, i guess they add up and there are many columns hidden b/c they are formulas... but damn.
ideas? i really would like a fresh set of eyes to look it over. plus its fun and you could play too...
ideas?
ok, i think i got it. i had to trim out all the fun stuff like the tabs that sort who is leading and the formulas that add up everyones score but here is just the question list and point values that each prediction is worth:

question 19, over under 22 points the answers have 28 points
last question penalties, no one will ever pick no penalties as the point value is too low not that it will ever happen anyway but im just saying that should be like auto win if you get it right.

you are correct on both accounts... i corrected question 19, and for question 29 i ramped up the point value for "no penalties" all game to 50 which is pretty much autowin.

Yeah its ridiculous. When I look at the games I think they could have won all 16 had there not been injuries. But then I also look and think we could have gone like 8-8 with the way they played sometimes.
Jets knocked the Pats out of the playoffs, in case any of you missed it.
Any other Jets fans here?

Hey, come on man. It was a great game. Those Pats are a good squad. Always come well prepared.
But the Jets are just the superior team.
So, who's looking forward to next season?
