Not quite correct, maximum would be 6x5/3 or 10. Upon killing the 7th player and getting his spoils, the game would end. This is due to if you have 5 cards, you'd have played a set at the start of the turn. If you have 4, then kill a player with 5, you will have 9 and the possibility of 3 sets.
So 10 is the maximum consecutive sets you can play in a turn, 3 is the most you can play at a single moment.
