Ok, claim. Are you Angelus or Faith? (this should also tell us who Commander is. BTW, you have my sincere sympathy for getting stuck with an overly protective scum-buddy. It happened to me at the end of the Corleone Mafia and I had to insult him and accuse him in almost every post to avoid suspicion.)

I'm not Angelus... I'm Angel, and I'm a tracker... No evil vamp here.

Nark's claim is believable however I would be wary of a recruitment mechanism between Faith and Angel (I believe that Faith attempted to get Angel to lose his soul again after Buffy tells him thet can't see each other or something like that...but was unsucessful) and from what I remember of season 3 angel did help buffy track down spike in the lovers walk episode though for the most part I thought angel had been weakened and unable to do much season 3...

What I do find interesting is that mandy automatically jumps to the conclusion that angel is already Angelus (what they call angel when he's evil I believe) when it was only season 2 where buffy had to deal with angelus from what I do remember.

I thought that you would find more interesting how Mandy briliantly predicted who Anark is. Mind you, I have not mentioned the Mayor, Mr Trick, Ethan Rayne, Baltazar or any other Season 3 baddy. Nope, I went for the only one who could feel safe that he can hide behind his claim, and be 99% safe.

I tell you what, I'll unvote Anark if and only if Commander claimes a non-Faith major character. Otherwise, simple math dictates that:

Anark's claim + Anark's and Commander's scummy behaviour = Angelus and Faith

Besides, Giles has always been in the better dead Angel then live Angelus camp, so role-playing would dictate that you back me up here Strike Wolf. :ugeek:

Interesting. I am curious to see what commander will say to this, although I wouldn't think it unreasonable for him to pull a T/GTFO on you mandy.

Yep, she kills him at the end to stop the world from ending, even after his soul was returned to him. When he comes back in Season 3, he is a good person... He PLAYS evil to trick Faith into giving him the info of who she is working for, but it was a ploy by Buffy and Angel to do that.

Damn, isn't Angel technically a vampire too? I'm just interested in the fact that both Night 1 kills were vampires, and since we got rid of Spike already, who else is a vampire bad guy? I don't think there would be any demon mafia based on the night scene information.

I think what people tend to forget is that it says the second victim bled out. Didn't mention bite marks. The mayor did have some kind of vampire work force as well. Angel should have started the game as a good guy but he is a potential recruit for Faith if I remember the series correctly.

First of all, I will not claim unless I am forced. I've learnt this the hard way and I don't plan on making myself a target. Secondly, I'm fairly sure you will see AD being pro-town or at least a neutral role (after his death) and hopefully then you'll notice what Mandy's doing here. I'm fairly certain I'll still be here tomorrow (as mafia won't be dumb enough one of the best lynch candidates), but even if I'll become the next victim, please, remember the master fluter.
But... It was so artistically done.

Well my instincts still tell me that nark and commander are scum. With streaker as a possible third member (he has posted in other threads but hasn't said a word in this thread since I called him out on scummarining and wagon hopping.)

Fair enough. I'm that certain that he's not scum, so I'll say this - if he will turn out to be scum, go ahead and lynch me.

Then you DON'T remember correctly... I just watched Zeppo, which is part of Season 3...

My wife is the biggest Buffy fan in the world, and I know everything about the show. At NO point is Angel even SLIGHTLY bad in this season.

So, if you all wish to follow Mandy's logic that we are sticking straight to the series, then I CAN'T be bad...

Tell you what, since I have no idea what color everyone else's role is, I'll do this. I'll tell you mine.

If I am third party, then lynch me... Angel sacrificed himself for the good of Sunnydale and Buffy more than once. I will do the same. But Mandy is scum... I guarantee you.

My role color is green

My point is that while it did happen the way planned in the show, Faith did try to recruit Angel so it's very likely faith would have a recruit mechanism with Angel...

Anyways mandy vs. Nark is living up to the legend. Still want to hear from someone like ga or pmc (actually I forgot to mention pmc requested to be replaced in my mafia...not sure if he made any such request in this game) or fircoal or anyone else who has more esxperience with these two until then I may as well give my second objective a try. *draws a book in throwing position* Wyndham! I'm coming to get my job back!

I've read up but am now too drunk to properly bathe you with brilliant insight so I'll just say knowing a bit the plot and the flavour so far, and knowing for sure metagaming is a freaking lousy argument with the players at hand, I'm wayyy more keen on Nark being town. Unfortunately it's not impossible Mandy is town either, but I think he acted way scummy today. More tomoz

Zigackly! My point is that Angel is role that could be recruited by Mafia while keeping a role-name that looks townish. Also, if this was not the case, then why would a major role Townie be willing, eager even, to role claim without a serious lynch danger (three votes out of 8 needed isn't even 50 %)? The answer is: Angel would want to hide his role, Angelus would be just waiting a chance to claim Angel. Given that and the way that Anark/Commander duo has been playing, I say that odds of Anark being Angelus are much higher then the odds of Anark being Angel.

hmmm, well, comm seems to subtly be saying "lynch AD first" now, I think perhaps he has realized a previously overlooked fact since AD said his character is a town side traitor to faith, since mandy's accusation was so spot on successful so far, I think we should pressure commander.
Unvote vote comm

I don't know if that theory really works or not as if Angel was a mafia betrayer in these circumstances I DEFINITELY don't think he would have been that quick to claim as anyone with a brief understanding of the show should know that Angel should be town aligned unless he had already been recruited. If he was a mafia betrayer he would have had to be a part of the mafia at the beginning of the game right? Therefore he definitely wouldn't want to claim until the last second. So either Nark's telling the truth about being Angel and town aligned which is definitely possible or he was town aligned and got recruited. I've been going by behavior and Nark's seemed more scummy so far and commander has been sticking by his side very closely which is suspicious as well. So again basically appears scummy in nature but also a likely townie.

Guys, would Angelus come up innocent? Of course not, his character is anything but subtle. Nark has welcomed in an investigation on himself, I can't see a cop doing anything else tonight, besides possibly investigating mandy. Vote mandy for trying to lynch a likely powerful town ally.

Thank you! May I also comment on how Mandalorian has totally avoided the question I posed earlier about WHEN Angel was evil in Season 3. I have brought up many good points to my argument, called Mandy out as scum before anyone else thought he was doing anything wrong, and can prove that nowhere in Season 3 is Angel evil.

I even told you all my role color was green. Aren't ALL of those things pretty much proof?
