Ok, so you're saying that Commander was acting erratically on page 9, called out for it again on page 14, and then swept under the rug.

I think that I do need to shed some light on the situation, I'm a JOAT, and I investigated Comm9 yesterday night and I couldn't find him anywhere. After his comments on his own character, this leads me to one conclusion.

Comm9 is the Architect. He can't be investigated because he doesn't exist in either the Matrix or Zion. However, I don't think Agent Smith can recruit him because the only person who can reach him is Neo. QED, he should be relatively safe at night, and I don't want to make the mistake of lynching him today.

How long does this take? 20 minutes? I am just frustrated casue the game I a moding is going so slow, and it seems like no wants to do anything but follow the cop here.

This is a tough one. I wasn't actually referring to commander when I said I might have a case but if you arer right I could see the Architect going either way as far as alignment. He was definitely on the machines side but he wasn't a destructive character his role in the Matrix was simply to maintain balance through equation. At the very least though I cannot see him being directly involved with any main town group. In fact if his dialogue with The Oracle at the end of Revolutions was any clue he was against The Oracle in many respects in a way that seemed to indicate a rivalry of ideas between two master strategists on opposite sides of a war.

I'm sorry if you're frustrated edoc but it does take a long time and a lot of patience to properly reread a thread.

That's true, I personally think the Architect would be a 3rd Party role. He's not on Zion's side, and was rather displeased that Neo chose Trinity over the system. On the other hand, as the creator of the Matrix, he wouldn't want it to be taken over by Smith. Either way, besides him being basically untargetable at night, I don't see him as having a lot of power. Maybe an investigative role, but he's pretty passive throughout the trilogy. Besides showing up and talking to Oracle at the end of Revolutions, he doesn't enter the Matrix at any other time. It's like an omnipotent passive God sort of role. In which case, at least 4 people would be third party in this game, quite a large group of unaffiliated people.

Commander here as I think we can all see is trying to brush this aside, which he wouldn't be doing if we hadnt struck something, but then again what does that make VioIet? She has been pushing for commanders lynch practically the whole game and I have her down as some sort of lyncher... but who would want to lynch the architect.

Ok This is a bit of a long shot but bear with me. If the Architect and the Oracle are linked, two sides of the same program then surely there is a lovers mechanic or a sibling mechanic there. If one dies then the matrix is out of balance and the other must die.

Now this is a long shot but the only person apart from smith who wanted to kill the oracle was the merovingian right? What if VioIet is working for the merovingian (Edoc) in the hope that we out Commander and end up lynching him, at which point the oracle dies sometime the next day.

Win condition fulfilled perhaps?

(This is a Long Shot with the only evidence to back it up being commanders want to get away from the subject of the architect and Vi's apparent hatred with commander buckled up with the fact that edoc hasnt played his cards again and was pushing the hardest for my lynch. Also would explain why commander voted for edoc when the bandwagon was dead in a futile attempt to restart the voting on edoc to stop him killing the oracle?

First off, your full of shit, that was such a large leap in logic I had to read it a few times to even figure out how it came back to me.

Point 1. You are not a lover with the Architect unless you were explicitly told so. As this is not the case your argument is dead.

Point 2. I have shown my cards again, I think we should lynch haggis. Instead we have done flavor speculation for the last week and a half.

Point 3. There Architect does not trust me because I am one of the only programs he did not personally create. Sorry you are not he center of attention, it was a misguided attempt at self defense.

No what edoc said is mostly true. We're assuming that commander is the Architect, to begin with if he is than for your theory to work than vio would have to know who he was even if that didn't mean she knew the full name of the character. Considering the flavor of the character, I do not believe anyone should be able to know and if anyone did know about him it would probably be The Oracle (lovers mechanic or not).

I personally don't know anything about the matrix, and really this just seem like a useless headache. We already have at least 4 people claimed and some more under suspicion. If you wanna play the name game why not just order up a mass claim? I mean it's not like you can make the town any less screwed with so many outed roles. If you wanna play mafia then lets skip the names and play mafia.

My reasoning, primarily bandwagoning when it was particularly easy to do so without rousing suspicion and then trying to kill claimed town power roles.
