you can narrow down a lot if they were and get false accusation thrown out quickly so the real cheaters could be more easily seen and caught

IP's can also be used to find someones location. What a great way for internet predators to find their next victims, all they have to do is sign up at CC.

How precise can you get from an IP? I mean, if you can only get down to town or state level, then it would be pretty difficult to find someone.

Not really. Once you get to that level, you just need to do a little bit of digging.

If a person really wanted to find you, that wouldn't be too hard..

I think thats a pretty good idea.

The point about serial killers reading IPs is stupid.

It may however spark a witch hunt against the people who play from a college or business where everyone shares a common IP.
