to clarify why regardless of when you guess you should have exactly a 2 in 300 chance of winning i will give a very vague impression of the princible.

1st person odds of winning are 2/300 (so a 298/300 chance of not winning)
2nd person chance of winning are (2/298) * (298/300) (chance of them winning and 1st not winning)
3rd person chance of winning are (2/296) * (296/298) *(298/300) (chance of them winning and 2nd not and 1st not)
4th person chance is (2/294) * (294/296) * (296/298) * (298/300)
as you can see all the numerators and denominators cancel except 2 (in numerator) and 300 (in denominator),
this will keep happenening untill 151st peron has (2/0 chance which doesn't exist) as all numbers will have been used up.
note it is probably possible to prove that it is true for remaining using proof by induction but not worth the hassle.

Well, I don't know how to make you guys understand this but you have to trust me with my math.
Here is a little background on me-please read carefully:

I graduated at the top of my class in high school, specifically getting 100% in Math from grade 1 to 12 and was picked to join the Hong Kong national math team to compete internationally after I finished first in Hong Kong.
In July 2010 during the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) in Germany, I LED my team to win the gold medal and simultaneously I was participating in the Physics and chemistry World Olympiads too because there was no one else that could fill those two spots in the other teams. I don't mean to sound arrogant but I AM REALLY GOOD! Believe me when I say this. I got a scholarship to Harvard and I am pursuing my PhD in number theory, and my ground breaking probability theory was printed in the Harvard Peer Reviewed math journal and is said to be turning the math world upside down! So all joking aside, thanks to everyone for pointing the error in my logic and for setting the record straight.
As for drunkmonkey who posted on my wall claiming that I was talking down to him, threatened me not to do it again and then foed me so that I couldn't respond to him, I want to say that I wasn't talking down to you but simply pointing out that your post did not make sense to me, that's it. Well, I'm insane enough to go and collect a list of all the numbers guessed so far, and how many have been repeated. So far there have been ~127 original guesses. Many repeats. 200 has been guessed 4 times

That's quick, but I won 2 games in round 5, lost one in round 6 (means someone else won) and beat HA for bounty in round 7. Lets see if anyone can do it by turn 4

Hmmmm--I'm not going to go through all 75 pages of finished games in this tourney, but on the first page, there are 2 games finished on turn 4. Maybe someone didn't show up, I didn't check, but it would be interesting to see even if there isn't a medal or prize just exactly who had the quickest game...either total time start to finish, or fewest turns....
