Looks like my profile country has been updated!!!!!

Today I login to my account and found that I am Now an american! Because I do not remember to have done any immigration request and that i am form Montreal canada tried to correct that.... Did not find were could enter my country .... what is going on?

Your country is determined automatically by looking up your IP address in a GeoIP database. It isn't meant to reflect your nationality. Furthermore, the database is only 99% accurate so some members may show an incorrect location. Unfortunately there is no way to override your country flag.

Have you had anyone account sit for you? If someone from the United States would of logged into your account then that would change your flag for a time period.

Or it could come down to simply your Internet Service Provider is located in the United States.

OK everything has been explained the country is detected trhough the IP adress. I am on vacation in the us so I appear with a us flag that is it.

I usually play through my normal internet, however, I occasionally leave my proxy running during a turn. How many logins does it take to change the flag. Should I come back if I realize that I've left the proxy running to mitigate the log update?

you show the country flag from the login ip you are using
