However, against another "good team" it would require some lucky dice to pull back. This is why two clans, that have faith in their strategy, would like to start on a level playing field.

Well if it's a level playing field you want, then don't play fog. if you don't play fog then it's always on the up and up, that is assuming that you'll both get an even drop on every map. I'm not trying to be the bur in your arse here, really, but it's simple, the only real solution is if Admin could ad the script to it that points it out in the beginning. other wise, well, it's a game, and life isn't always fair and on the up and up, you roll with what you get.

I voted option 1. The whole point of fog of war is so that your opponents can't see the entire board.

i'm personally for using the fog rule as it is now - optional if both sides agree with it.

especially considering the fact that the hometeam always joins first. if you want the rule and your opponent agrees, good for you.
if they don't agree, then rethink if you want to make your homegames fog or not. simply don't make YOUR games Fog if you dont want to take the risk, and at the same time you can still take advantage of the other side using fog, as you'll be joining last.

absolutely wanting to start your homegames with fog, and demanding that your opponent waits with playing(while they dont want to) is just being an ass, so just keep it as it is now, optional rule if both sides agree.
