I might write an essay a little bit later, but to put it simply - be aggressive and try to hunt down all of the scum while being willing to sacrifice yourself and allow important roles to stay underground.
But... It was so artistically done.

Be willing to D1 lynch the cop and the doc to get drawn as a scum while agressively taking chances hunting down the cult leader so that he recruits you, causing pancake to have the first thread.
