For the record, MrPipes, Ljex has easily maintained the rank of General without the Oasis games.

It is unclear whether or not he could reach Field Marshal without them, but I'm betting that if he played enough 1v1 Moguls, he could.

To start off all of the accused are CLEARED of being multi's.

The secret diplomacy doesn't pan out either. First santoch doesn't appear to be a very good player, is trying to play complicated maps where he doesn't have a clue and freestyle too. I am thinking that when he enters the game he doesn't even realize it is a team game. I know that sounds kind of dumb but I have done that myself. CLEARED of secret diplomacy.

Mr Pipes, I have every sympathy with you. The team I play with all joined up to one of Ilex's OASIS games and were sucker punched by the way the game was set up, and was all over in round three.

However, as we all play together regularly, we went away and played the map several times, then came up with a strategy to defeat Ijex...and we did win..... The result however, is that all the team members that were in the matches, that beat Ijex have now been foed by him... That sort of player is simply not worth bothering about, and fortunately are in the minority on this site.

If you want to enjoy your games just let me know and I'll invite you to some team games...Stalingrad Map is awesome

I fully accept the ruling of the mod that there was no Multi or Secret Diplomacy and I am glad this is the finding.

While Farming like this is apparantly considered within the scope of rules, and this is certainly up to the site, there could be many things done to the site to help new folks from getting trapped. For example, on the Find a game view, there could be a max rank field so new folk could find other new folks, those of lower rank to play. I will certainly be posting my suggestion on the appropriate forum.

I hardly think someone who has played 64 games with ljex including OASIS <where you dont really play> is at best a conflict of interest. Try playing a game where you have an opinion, your own strategy and some smidgen of courage to play quality players who give you a challenge...sheesh!

Somehow I am not surprised and this only confirms my asertion that this type of Farming is targeted toward unsuspecting and new folks which in the end cannot be good for the site...regardless...I will be happy to play with or against you for some good fun! I am in the Stalingrad game with CoF now.

Give the guy a break. He was new to the site and doesn't have the wealth of knowledge that comes with experience. OK so we know these guys aren't multis. The angle he was getting at was it seemed to him to be a secret collusion with a 'planted' player in Team 2 (santoch) who didn't go along with the team strategy.

It may be an easy conclusion to draw if, as I say, one is new to the game. At least he had the nous to do something about it, even if he was mistaken.

He's a nice guy and a decent player (I'm in a game with him right now) so it's frustrating when one's own ability isn't matched by one's team mates and it leaves you wondering what's going on, as happened in Oasis.
