It looks like everyone has either confirmed or posted in this thread, shall we attempt to get serious or continue fucking around?

Yea with such a short deadline, we are going to need to hustle to get a lynch together. Since we have nothing to go on so far, I will just place my vote on whoever posts the least by day 4.

Unvote, Vote DoomYoshi. How often a person posts has nothing to do with if their scum or not.

"Fucking around" is my middle name.
Also, if you don't know me by now in Mafier games, you should know that I'm a fan of day 1 no lynches, just because the odds are against us for randomly lynching a mafier member.
Though I know people are gonna sharpen their pitchforks after this, Vote no lynch

While it may not have anything to do with whether they are scum or not, it does have to do with how useful they are going to be in securing lynches, which the town needs. I realize no lynch will most likely be the result day 1, but unless you can suggest a more prudent tactic for day 1 voting, I will stand at that.

But then what do you have to go off of on D2? If we just go straight to night then we don't know anybody's motives.

Pro-town power roles like a cop. We don't have motives if we randomly lynch someone either. I say we save a head and go into the night.

Usually the collective opinion is as follows:
If we lynch noone, there is no chance we can kill a mafia.
If we lynch someone, there is a slight chance we can kill a mafia.
If others want do do a no lynch though, I'll vote with it.
I certainly don't want a no-lynch. If we rely on playing 'follow the cop' we run in to two major problems. Either the cop could be killed before he reveals himself/doc gets killed and cop has no protection, or the scum fakeclaim cop and lead us to a mislynch or two before we catch on, at which point they control the game.
We may not reach a lynch by the deadline, but I think we should at least have a proper look at each player's behaviour. If nothing else at least we'll have more dialogue which means more chance to catch someone in a lie later in the game.

Agreed, voting for no lynch and hoping that the cop survives the night and happens to find a scum is not a good strategy, I'm half tempted to vote for AoG just for suggesting it. As for now, though, I've got my eye on you.

QFT. I could not have stated it better myself.
What usually gives us the most information on Day 2-albeit an investigation- are the vote patterns.
Also the reactions various players make in response arguments.
I feel this deadline is too quick to properly offer a case on someone.

everyone forgot also that a cop wouldn't be willing to reveal he's a cop for fear of being NK'd next night.
No Lynch day one is the scummiest thing you can do day one.
Vote Army of god even if it is your play style like like 00icon said, still scummy FOS Doom Yoshi for willing to vote NO lynch FOS BlakeBowling for wanting it also

I didn't say I wanted a no-lynch. I said IF the majority of the group wanted it, I was willing to vote with it. I do agree that doing something is better than hoping something good happens N1.
The more people that post, the more information we will get about them. My point was, even talking about a no lynch can help us target scum.
I am not willing to vote No Lynch. I clearly stated I would vote for someone. I just realize that unless we have a major good luck event, no lynch is how I predict the day ending. Especially since AoG comes from a more cautious school. Furthermore, it is well established that votin no lynch is a scumtell. Once something is established, it ceases being a good scum tell. While I don't agree with AoG, I think he honestly believes his argument. Relying on the cops really doesn't make sense since then the cops will have to claim day 2 anyway. We need some good old fashioned bandwagons to reveal stuff. In that case, I will put some pressure on. I don't think the AoG BW will reveal anything. His ornery attitude will cause him to drop scumtells like a bomb. So, let's see what this turns up I say:)

If the majority of the group wants it, it will happen whether you help with your vote or not.
Ok, here is my logic. It's more than likely that there is more town than mafia in this game. The chances of lynching a townie day 1 are very high. If everyone bandwagons and kills a townie (like me, for example), then we STILL have absolutely nothing to go on for day 2. Yea, we could get lucky and kill a mafier member, but there pretty much the same chance that we lynch a pro-town power role.
No matter what this game is going to rely on power roles. If we roll dice and try to guess which members are mafia by lynching randomly then we are fucked.
I would rather no lynch day one as well due to lack of information and possibility of lynching town members, but I got lynched last game for doing so. So, I have to agree. Vote AoG for wanting no lynch.
Last night I played a real-life game similar to Mafia and the mafia usually won because whenever they were accused they were good liars and their teammates backed them up and they got out of being lynched. I think AoG's logic is an excuse for no lynch.
