This is what I thought.Metsfanmax wrote:In short: Yes, you were right to consider the truce offer implicitly declined.
Yes.SirSebstar wrote:no and yes.
Yes make whatever truces you feel comfortable with, especially if you are in a weak state, another player is in a weak state and you need to work together to kill the gameleader... Obviously you should already work together to accomplish that goal, but a spoken word sometimes helps.., that was the yes part.
Does this help?
Delhi is a territory on the Classic map and so is Beijing, it's your fault you failed to notice this (?).MrSour wrote:I've waited an looked at the thread which is a tad one sided so hear is my side. or Whine if this is your opinion then so be it...
"Petrocelli: Mr. Sour: I propose a 5 turn truce. I am moving troops from Beijing to Delhi to try to attack. " So bearig in mind he is talking about regions that don't exist on this map I ask him to clarify this.
As for the rest here, he points out that you took Astana, preventing him from holding the Asia bonus. This would universally be seen as a legitimate reason to back out of the proposed truce - the only reason he offered it in the first place was so that he could hold Asia and get the bonus. You were already holding the Europe bonus when you attacked Astana, so the only reason it makes sense to attack Astana is to prevent Petrocelli from holding the Asia bonus (and thus you are implicitly rejecting his truce). Your comment about him stopping you from holding the Europe bonus makes no sense - check the game log for Round 19 (the round he offered the truce) to see that you received the Europe bonus after the truce was offered.Mean time i did take his troop which he had just put into europe stopping me get the region. So the truce he offered was for him to (potentially) get asia and africa (I had no troops in either region) but the round before he put a single in north america and europe.
I assumed he would be happy with asia and africa (plus he already had austrailia thats 12 vs my 10) so based on this information I blazed in to north america taking his one and getting the region.
I'm not calling him a cheat it was my neivaty and trusting that lost me this game. I now look at his singles and truce region naming as cleaver legal deception. I should have just ignored it and took his single not questioned it...
So whine over, i've learnt from it.![]()
1) trust no one.
2) before you truce invade there regions.
3) make up region names so I could back out if I want.
thanks for listening...
He can read your apologies now. Good thing you apoligzed, most players don't. I assume it's solved now.MrSour wrote:Looking back at the log and with the items pointed out here.... I was wrong and was at fault, I should not assume anything.
I fully retract the comment and openly appologise to Petrocelli for this accusation. As hes foe'd me can some one pass my appologies on.
