Just some Lyncher Mafia-Lyncher Wins, everyone dies horribly

Post by Haggis_McMutton »

Haven't seen one of these in a while, nor any smaller games, so what the hell. :D

General Rules:
Spoiler
Rules:
1.The moderator is always right. Do not try and argue with them. However we are all human and we all make mistakes. The moderator will try and fix any mistake he or she may have made.

2. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record.

3. Do not quote any PM's you receive from the moderator or another player. You may say your name, role, associated abilities. This is a serious offence and could earn you a mod-kill, and/or a blacklist from future games.

4. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you can.

5. All ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in bold. If they are not, they will not be tallied. (I.E. Vote: haggis). You must first unvote and then vote to change your vote from someone. Mods may change this according to their wishes.

6. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, once the majority has been reached any unvotes will not be counted. The majority is half the player's alive +1.

7. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death.

8. Lengths of days depend on moderators. Usually they are indefinite until the game starts dragging and then the moderator enforces a deadline.

9. Lengths of nights depend on moderator. Try and send the actions earlier if possible, and save everyone time. It's a hassle for the moderator to pm everyone who hasn't sent in an action.

A. Once your death scene has been posted, it's over for you. You can no longer post anything related to the game. Whining is alright, **Voices from beyond the grave** are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed. This means you can post something like "Damn you mafia!" or "Oh well. Go town!" but you cannot post and add to the discussion. This is a serious offence.

B. Be attentive and active in the game. You will be replaced if you don't post. If something prevents you to participate for a long period of time, announce it here or via PM. Help everyone's enjoyment of the game by being active and sending your actions promptly.

C. You cannot talk at night. You can do joke votes like "zzzzzz" if you want but don't let it get out of hand. Different moderators have different tolerance levels.

D. If you have any questions or doubts, send a private message to the moderator and ask for help. It would be much worse to remain unsure about your role, mafia rules, whatever than to ask the moderator and then understand

E. Learn hexadecimal.

F. Have fun!
Lyncher set-up
Spoiler
1 mafia
1 lyncher
3 vanilla townies

Lyncher has one of the townies as his target, this person shall be known as the lynchee. The lynchee doesn't know he is the lynchee, and isn't revealed as the lynchee if night killed.

Win conditions:
mafia wins if it's just him and one townie left
lyncher wins if he's alive when his target is lynched, if this happens the game ends
town wins when both the lyncher and the mafia are gone OR if it's just the lyncher and the lynchee left(the lyncher is endgamed in this scenario).

If the lynchee is night killed and the lyncher is still alive, he becomes a vanilla townie as well.
Players, bold=confirmed:
1. Com
2. Sax
3. Pcm
4. Jeerado
5. Edoc

Feel free to ask any questions and/or to spam this thread.

Fun trivia: This seems to be about as balanced as a set-up can get. I calculated the odds for fun(yeah I'm weird like that) and it turns out that, assuming a random lynch each day(and assuming i didn't screw up) the odds are:
lyncher 35%
scum 35%
town 30%
Hopefully the town's lynch will be slightly better than random though. :P

Jerry would be a perfect nickname for him :) Or just Jer.

I love Haggis' games. Although I've never played in one, they have always been quite fun to follow.

I will sit this one out and joyfully watch.

I don't think I am skilled enough for a setup this small- nor do i have much time right now.

But this shall be a good game, as Haggis' games always are.

Wait, why?
In my experience there are two ways a Lyncher game goes.

I'm the lyncher. I get speed lynched and lose.

I'm the lynchee. I get speed lynched and lose.

Or occasionally but not often.

I'm just a townie. I get speed lynched and the winner isn't decided yet.

Neither of the three scenarios look that appealing. x3

Re: Just some Lyncher Mafia [Day 1]

The Apocalypse is taking place, but that's not important, we already have a game covering that. What's important is that 5 people are barricaded inside a fast-food joint, as safe as can be.

Three of them are your average progressive obese citizens and just wanted to stuff their faces with all the food they could find.
Unfortunately, the manager was also there and would not have his food stolen. He came to the only logical conclusion, he'd have to kill them all.
Lastly, there was a fourth progressive obese gentleman, but he was not like the others, no, there was hatred boiling inside of him. Hatred for the one citizen who had STOLEN the last packet of barbecue sauce. "NOBODY TAKES MY BARBECUE SAUCE" he repeated to himself obsessively again and again. His only goal was to boil this man alive with his own hands.

Why boil alive you say? oh they all civilizedly agreed that the only way out of this predicament was to take a majority vote each day and decide on one person to boil in the cooking oil the fries are normally made in. Perfectly logical I say.

5 alive, 3 to lynch.
