Title says it all, really. This last chapter in my calc class has been kicking my ass, and there's a test tomorrow. Anyways, I finally have a day off from work tomorrow (first in like 7 days), so after my class I'll catch up in my games.
Calc? Cool! I'm in Calc II (get it?) and so far we're in the section of integrals where you find the average value, we've done the finding volumes using integrals already. Where are you in the Calc course? (assuming our classes have the same set-up, which they probably don't)

Calc 3. It sucks hardcore. I was doing alright, but this latest chapter is lame. The convergence/divergence of infinite series and their sums. I'm pretty sure this'll be my worst grade yet. I've averaged like a 95% test average throughout the year, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get like a B on this last test. Terrible.

convergence and divergence are unfamiliar terms to me. Clearly you've gone farther on than I have. At least I know what to look forward to now. Good luck on your test.

I never had much of a problem in calc, although as a life sciences major I got to stop after first year. What specifically do you need help with? Is it a conceptual problem or just a case of not enough practice?
32 yo in Grad school and never even had to take college algebra... My last math class was Math Functions. In high school, I stopped at Algebra II my Junior year. Math sucks and should be banned. Don't worry if you suck, though. I do, and still made it through

haha I don't really have many problems with math, it's one of my better subjects. Just sometimes, when I don't have enough time to study, I get frustrated, then I sleep on it, and it makes sense in the morning. Besides, I joined the y=mx+b usergroup specifically for any help.
I just wish I didn't have a job so I could devote more time to school and here.

Ok so I just got my test score online: 71. FML. That's the lowest score I've gotten, and my overall grade just plummeted 10%. I'm barely holding on to a B right now.
f*ck f*ck f*ck. I'm so pissed.
Anyways, I won't be joining any more games until this semester is over.

Your lowest test is a 71 and you're barely holding onto a B? I don't even know if my test average is 71 and I have a somewhat solid B. (Although our class has 75 to 85 as B range)

So far, we've only got two tests for this semester. My first I had 99%, then 71%, and then my hmwk I've averaged about a 85%, and I never do the group projects because I don't go to class.

My lectures are so deep and informative, people have to put their heads down because they are so weighed down by the knowledge I've given them.

Or they fell asleep because you were trying to explain differential equations.

Are those equations that are different?

Trust me, I get too excited when I talk about differential equations. That's like one of my favorite AB topics. They would have to OD on sleeping pills to fall asleep during that lecture.

Then they get into college and have to deal with Fourier transforms and then silently curse the day Fourier was ever born.
