I'm looking to create a non-biased clan training academy, with a group of teachers from around the clan world, to introduce new players to the way clans work and overall team play. By non-biased, I mean it as not favoring one clan individually. This group would teach the basics for team games only, of all formats and maps. I would like to get a full group of teachers only, with clan experience, before taking on any students. I think this will help with improving the overall competitive nature of the clan world. I know there are lots of training groups out there, but most are ran by each clan themselves. This would be more of a Clan community group.
You should check this out. ptlowe from the bandits is running it, I am one of the teachers, I am not sure who the other ones are yet, but I would imagine they are mostly clan members.
I think the SoC is well within their right to do team training, but I think what TheMissionary has proposed here is a slightly different thing, rather than the SoC he would like a chance for all the clans to work together training new members so that we can continue to have a good pool of clan players.
I completely agree, but to make it work we would really need the input of teachers from Empire Mate, Cowabunga, and The Spankademy and The Cherubs of Death. If they back this project it could really take off.

wouldn't it be better to get the clans more involved (teachers) over at the SoC's team training course that way everyone who graduates is potentially clan ready. and known to those teachers (clan spies)

For those of you interested in what the SOC does....
Be warned you will possibly be posting the same info 3 times in 3 different forums. Team chat is not to be used within the SOC. Everything must be able to be seen within the SOC forums.

I'm not saying the ENTIRE clan community has to be involved. I just thought a few players from the clan community instruct students on strategy/maps/commitment. More qualities that are preferred of a future member of any one clan. We just get enough teachers to really be able to cover every type of play that challenges consist of, and the maps. Maybe even throw together some exhibition challenges for them, ect. Just a group that dedicates solely to the building of the clan communities future competitiveness.
