Her grandfather was a coal miner, does that make you happier? And as previously noted, commoner does not mean she's poor. Although her parents earned every cent of their fortune, they're self-made millionaires. The point is that neither Kate nor her parents grew up surrounded by aristocrats, all this is very new to them.

The wedding was lovely and everyone looked great. I love a good wedding and it was fun to get to gawk at such a high-profile one. Plus, hats!
