I do, but I rarely come off looking very cool. Occasionally I'll mention it though and I'll discover a friend's inner geek when they start exclaiming how awesome it us that I play online Risk.

Sometime I'll attempt to share a CC anecdote with my husband, something like, "Fruitcake said the funniest thing, to which Owen humorously replied 'that's what the donkey said!'", but I usually just get a blank stare.

McGill one-liners are most easily related to non-CCers I've found. A testament to our universal common sense. Plus really, who hasn't been with Serbia's mom?

shoop76 and I converse almost every day about CC over the phone--we have even met each other in real life after meeting on CC. I have a few others I talk to about once a week. Then there is my family. Whenever I am at one of their homes I take a few moves. Most of the time they complain about why I am playing that game all the time.

Only from time to time do I share an anecdote from CC with a friend of mine who knows I've been involved with this website for five years. But it is mostly in passing.

I occasionally talk about CC. Comes up every time someone asks my wife and I "so how did you meet?"
I frequently use CC memes, especially on Facebook. People think I'm crazy. Though - they pretty much think that whether I'm using memes or not.

And squishy - I haven't met anyone who hasn't.

In addition to the above, I also occasionally chat to my Mum about various goings on on the site, but other than that I don't tend to advertise the fact that I am an uber geek too much outside of CC - hanging around with Serbia tends to do that for me!

LOL! That's how if goes, oftentimes, for me, also. I'd love to build the 1st Regiment out of adept Risk players and close friends, but, in reality, only a few people will ever actually join. Most have long gone... Real life priorities, they proclaim.

HighlanderAttack, I do that, too!

It makes for interesting discussion when you're taking turns and the extended family is milling about, wondering why you've got to be on the "flipping computer."
