So you didn't play as if you didn't know him. You should though.Frogmanx82 wrote:but we cut each other a little more slack than we might normally.

Oh we eventually slugged it out, but if we won't treat each other like we don't know each other, I'm best off playing team games. I don't want to do anything that's not totally above board.JBlombier wrote:So you didn't play as if you didn't know him. I've played numerous games against my doubles partners, but I've always managed to keep friendship apart from the game I was playing. It's like keeping work and your private life separate from each other. You work for your points, your private gaming shouldn't have anything to do with it.

People tend to favor friends whether they intend to or not. I recommend staying out of multiple player games with those you partner with. If you both really want to play against each other stick to 1v1.Frogmanx82 wrote:Oh we eventually slugged it out, but if we won't treat each other like we don't know each other, I'm best off playing team games. What jefjef said sounds like wisdom. I don't play much 1vs1 against my teampartners. It happens, e.g. when we both sighed up for the same tournament, but usually I avoid even that. Its not that I dont like my friends, but they know me so well, they are bound to suicide into me or i might just winjefjef wrote:People tend to favor friends whether they intend to or not.
