Sorry to hear about your PC, sucks when that happens..HighlanderAttack wrote:MY PC has crashed so there will not be any more bounties this round so go play--I will get the winner of the number guessing game a bounty game and keep an eye on things while I fix my PC sometime this weekend. Games will be left open until at least Monday
There is a chance--everyone had a chance to turn in maps and settings for round six but only about 16 people participatedbibo33 wrote:Is there any chance in the next round we can do some random maps with no spoils?
then someone bought you an premium, or indeed you have some time from referals.. congratsMrSping wrote:Question:
When people talk about 'freemiums' and 'premiums'... which one includes people who have free premium for referring someone? When I started this tourni I was freemium... and without paying any money, am I now premium?
So what does this mean for the tourni? I know there's a “Last standing freemium player” General Achievement award and there's at least been some thoughts of also giving however many months premium to the longest standing freemium too. Is the freemium status based on what we started the tourni with/ ended it with/ had at the end of the tourni/ had for the majority of time/etc ?SirSebstar wrote:then someone bought you an premium, or indeed you have some time from referals.. congratsMrSping wrote:Question:

you are now premium, since your referal brought cash to the site from which you got a short time real advantage!
Not everybody who has premium status paid for it themselves. e.g. I have gotten a full year for winning a random doubles random map tournament. I have also funded my own account, but as long as someone is paying the bill, you are premium.
It can go the other way too... I started with premium but it just ran out, so now I'm a freemium. Not that this will last, but if it were nearer the end of the tournament, it would appear that I got this far as a freemium.MrSping wrote:So what does this mean for the tourni? I repeat my point that I don't think CC would/should allow a medal to be awarded which actually discourages members from upgrading. CC decides how many GAs can be given out, so they would likely have some say. And they'd probably be pretty pissed at HA if he effectively rewarded action that deters paying for premium (which in turn pays for all the games that all of us--freemium and premium alike--enjoy). .... Especially in a tournament that is GIGANTIC like this one.denominator wrote:It can go the other way too... I started with premium but it just ran out, so now I'm a freemium. I assume HA has a list of the people who started as freemium. So the winner would have to be the last standing freemium player who is also on that list - it would solve both problems. It means if you upgrade during the tournament, you become ineligible for that medal though.
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment, but it clearly states in the first page [linked from the first post]:agentcom wrote:I repeat my point that I don't think CC would/should allow a medal to be awarded which actually discourages members from upgrading. I guess my question is how this is determined, because depending on that it could actually encourage members (like myself) from renewing their premium during the tournament to be eligible for that medal.“Last standing freemium player”.—last freemium player left in the tourney—if two players tie they will have a one game playoff—if more than two a round robin playoff
