Do you actually play your own turns?

Usually get help on maps I dont know. But I team up with a player/players who do know it so I can ask questions and try to learn it.. In some team games usually someone adds lets go after ***** or get this bonus and I go with it, but usually I just play my own.

I was in a clan game where the other team had players taking their turns who weren't even in that clan. I brought up a small objection and was voted down even by my own team members. To have some fun I started posting that my turn was being taken by other players who were all ranked at the time in the top 5. Suddenly they didn't like that as much.

I take all my turns, but sometimes I find myself failing in certain areas and goget strategy help in those certain areas, but help in general and not for a specific game scenario.

It was so long ago I don't think i can find it. I was playing a team game in a clan challenge for Project Firestorm and I don't remember the opponents.
