CC is slower but better than youtube. Discuss

Conquer club is always slower than youtube, yet I find myself spending more time on CC than youtube. Maybe I've had my fill of fat canadian pre teens singing celine dion, cats doing "cute" stuff and folks with no real life posting clips of their favourite "reality" tv. It might be that I'm just indulging my sado masochism by coping with the lag, maybe I'm part pom(british) and so enjoy whinging, maybe I just like the fact that we can see people punished on CC. Suits the petty eye for an eye attitude of the average knuckle drager. I just don't know, self analysis is a scary thing which I can't do for extended periods of time. Please state whether you prefer CC or youtube, and why. No I didn't want to start another lame poll, want some reasoning behind peoples preferences.

It's an easy choice really. I would never even consider paying for a membership to youtube. I think my golden rank says the rest.

I don't surf youtube all that much usually. I do however click on some of the youtube links in these forums.
CC's forums are so fun to play around in. youtube: i don't have an account, so I don't comment on videos. but youtube is cool for its videos.

Have you ever read the comments on any random YouTube video? It's unreal. Signing up for a YouTube account must require you to drop 20 IQ points and make you choose to be racist and/or homophobic from that day forward.

Believe it or not, I'll trade speed for CC's brand of civility.

I use YouTube less than once a month. I don't get it.

Useful for finding a video of something we other the odd time something gets mentioned in passing and you can't remember it / try haven't seen it, but trolling random videos doesn't sound like fun at all....

I think the only times I visit YouTube is to look for a clip of Futurama, or a random music video of something I was searching for. In fact, most of the times that I visit YouTube, I'm probably looking to use something from it, on Conquer Club.

I use youtube similarly. If I'm on youtube it's because I'm looking to post something from that site on this site or because there is a link from CC to that site.

To elaborate, I just like seeing how the site (youtube) and the uploaders have evolved over the 4 or so years I've been active. They've gone from shitty, yet charming, home movies to sketches and skits that have a lot of time and production value put into them. It makes it more exciting when you see their next video pop up in your subbox. I find a lot of the user content more entertaining than most of what's on TV. Once you've subscribed to who you want to see, all you have to do is log in and you'll be given a list of all their recent uploads, which is why I'm never sitting around YT not knowing what to watch. That's just me though. Most of you guys are probably a lot more casual when it comes to youtube.

I rarely go to YouTube. It sucks up bandwidth pretty aggressively. I've got 30 gigs a month, but with 4 people in the house you'd be surprised how fast that can get used up.

I like the way things are categorized on CC, easy to find a conversation about crap dice, the tea party, or the fact that BoganGod is the most sexy deity ever. youtube you have to know exactly what you are looking for, then search gamely though various permutations on the "key" words until you find what you seek, if indeed it is available.

Indeed, but would you pay for the summary? Am not convinced of youtubes sporting cred. Have waded through hours of shit rugby clips with cool sounding labels, and found the same thing repeated again and again, often have given up before finding what I was searching for. Could just be the fact that I sux at using the search function?
