We can embed images, and since the videos don't immediately buffer it makes no sense to not implement this suggestion. If it really is as simple as is being described here than the dissenting opinions are saying no because they don't know how to say yes.
I'm not sure why this is a debate. What are the cons?
thisd would bbe nice but i have to say that if they put this in they would have to monitar each vid as it would be easy to be a thing in the vid so when you opened vid up to watch ur laptop would do funny things.

What?
If you're talking about viruses. It's quite difficult to get them onto YouTube.
Perhaps a little explanation of how to use this new feature would be in order. I see the YouTube button on the forum post editor, but what exactly do you put inside the tags?
I wasn't able to get the top code to work. It took me a while to realize the bottom one was the only one that worked.
So perhaps you could make a video tutorial and host it in you tube for the rest of all?
BTW, if you had read the code I posted on the General Discussion you could've guessed the second form was the correct one. I haven't tried it myself but I don't know what would be the problem implementing that works with the first also, just a little parsing necessary.
It would be great if somewhere it was suggested that when quoting a post with an embbeded video, the poster should be considerate enough to leave the embeded video out, by simply deleting the tags.
