Instead of the top two from each group going to the playoffs, do you think you could expand the number of players in each group going to the playoffs?

It seems like two spots out of the 28 in each group is not enough. You could run into a situation in the second half of the tournament when both playoff spots are locked-in and unreachable for the other players and there would be no reason for the other 26 players to continue.

It's your tournament, so it is your decision either way.

i agree with superkeener. 2/28 is a pretty small sample and could create apathy for those who lose their first few, as advancing will probably require about 18-20 wins, maybe more.

but, as he said, your tournament, your call.

I really like this tournament, especially the quantity of 1v1 games, I would like to see round 2 to have some depth to it especially with 28 players per bracket

I am in support of it if you all don't mind the longer tournament. The reason that the second round was so abbreviated was to limit the number of players leaving due to the length of time the tournament will take. I will send a PM out to all participants and if there are no major objections then I will make the change. Thanks for the input and sorry for taking a moment to get back to you all about this.

Standings will be posted in complete within the next 12 hours. New rounds will be sent out in no more than 24 hours.

Standings have been updated! If you are missing a game then it is in the progress of being resolved. If your opponent does not join the game with in the 24 hour window then it will count as a win for whoever did join the game.
