I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, but I don't think you can pull off a building in a map, and at the moment you're butchering Hogwarts anyway

Since when has evey subject been on the same floor?

This map would NOT do justice to Harry Potter.

I'm afraid this idea isn't good enough, plus the copyright issue.

i think people need to chill. the author said it was a VERY BASIC image, im sure better ones are to follow, just look at the first draft of Siege.

that being said, I like this idea and hope you continue.

if you want to get around the copyright issues which people seem to be afraid of here then do this,

1.Dont use and images of Harry Potter, or change it to Larry Potter, or Harold Potts
2. While a title or likeness may by copywritten, everything within the book is not, if you just call this Hogwarts or whatever you shouldn't have a problem.

copyright issues (if any I really don't care) aside, this doesn't even touch Hogwarts

Marauders Map

Post by Keredrex »

maybe Use the marauders Map......... It would be great.... you can use subtle references... Instead of Potions....call it Alchemy.... instead of Quidditch call it Broomsticks and Goals....Defense against the dark arts... Call it Battling Black Magic.... There are all sorts of ways to pull this off

It's not just the fact of the copyright, it's how the map is laid out, if this map were to be done, then it would have to concontrate on one floor in patricular, otherwise I wouldn't know how to pull it off.

I understand that it is a very basic draft of a possible map, but it would need quite a bit of work to get it off of the ground, like the 'Siege!' map.

I would like to see a map of Hogwarts, but I don't see how that will be possible :(
