Shouldn't you check on the tallies before outing yourself as Link? Or at least hint at your role, maybe ask a cop to check on you and see if the votes drop, before claiming to be the main protagonist in the game? Seems to me as soon as scum finds Link, he'll be the first one they kill (unless of course, it's just scum claiming to be Link). Then again, I'm new at this as well, so maybe I'm missing something. This just seems like all the tells of a fake claim to me.

Link with a boomerang makes sense to me.
In game a boomerang stuns the opponent so they cant move.

This would also mean there are probably different variations of link (with a bow, sword, shadow link) which also makes sense with this game size.

That's true, but he could still be more specific. I can tell you without revealing my role that my character comes from one very specific Zelda game (and possibly another but I may be saying too much at that point). If he really is Link, he can give a much more solid description of who he is, what game he's from, etc. If he can't, he's lying and ought to be lynched. Make sense?

Exactly my point. Link is a very diverse fellow. You could eliminate one or two but that's a claim that doesn't actually carry any weight unless it gets cleared up.

Yes, it is close enough to the style of my role that I believe him. It could be a fake handed to him, but I do not personally believe so ATM.
