Friends and Foes

Are there any instructions explaining what "add friend" and "add foe" do, how they work, etc.?

For friends, when you add one, if you're inviting someone to a game, they're in a drop down list of players (don't know if anything else happens)
For foes, when you foe someone, it hides posts they make in forums (which can then be shown), you can't see what they type into the chat in games, and they can't join games you're in.

Manage friends
Friends enable you quick access to members you communicate with frequently. If the template has relevant support any posts made by a friend may be highlighted.

Manage foes
Foes are users which will be ignored by default. These users will be filtered out of your game chat, blocked from joining any game that you are part of, and blocked from posting comments to your wall. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted.

You will not be able to post on their walls. Also, you cannot join any non-tournament games that they're currently in.

Ok, so there is no way to tell if someone has you friended, either, correct?

I'm just asking because my friends list has gotten too long to be useful. I want to trim it down, but I don't want anybody feeling insulted.

No, there is no way to tell who's on the friends list. The only way to tell if you are a foe is that you can't post on their wall or join games. And you have to find people even then. You should be able to de-friend people guilt free!
