Anyone know about billing and "Pos Fee's"?

Ok so I just re-premiumed the other day. Checking my online bank account I noticed an "International Pos Fee" for $0.63, dated the same day as my renewal.

Some googling has led me to the following;

either its some sort of fraud, or I have paid for something 'overseas'.

I haven't purchased anything overseas in over a year, except (possibly?) this membership. Does anyone know what country CC is based in, and if it is possible/likely/definite that this $0.63 is somehow related to the premium fee of $25?

I have read FAQ and searched forums to no avail, and am simply ensuring I have my facts straight before I sound off to my bank. Any help appreciated...

I would check with your band to find out exactly what it is. My guess is a currency conversion fee because the website is in Canada and you are paying from the US. With the latest rules for banks and things POS could stand for anything.

probably "Point of Sale"... but I haven't encountered such a fee myself... then again, I don't renew for a few months yet. Definitely contact the bank and ask, but it doesn't sound too sinister, offhand. Still worth exploring.

anyways, its your bank or the way you paid it. The short story is, its certainly not on CC's end. There are a few just like you, so a search is in order if you like the longer detailed reply. I am not sure it ever got much clearer then a guess, so if you do ask your bank, please relay the reply to us please.
