For those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001 for all those heroes who sacrificed everything that day, and for all those who continue to sacrifice their lives day in day out in the name of freedom and justice, we shall never forget.
The last phase of the Group Finals Stage (the Assassin games) has finished. Here are the results,
Stage II StandingsUSA Rockies Standings Board
Doodle Earth Standings Board
Random Standings Board
The standings indicate that the USA Rockies' second player advancing is undecided. As a result, the tied players, Anthrax821 and friesuschrist, are now playing a 1v1 tie-breaker match; the winner will advance.
As for the Doodle Earth Final Group,
Mr. Hat (jasoncederblom) sweeps the group with 13 points (4 1v1 wins and an Assassin victory). Be sure to keep your hat on; he'll be a dangerous threat in the Finals!
Moses (tennischamp5) advances as the second player from the group with 9 points (2 1v1 wins and a Standard victory), leaving the other 4 players to drown in the Red Sea of elimination.
In the Random Final Group,
Infintile Cartman (Copernicus) triumphs with 11 points (3 1v1 wins and a Standard win). A word from Cartman to his fellow competitors who missed out on advancing: "Screw you guys."
The Sexual Harassment Panda (jigger1986) lives on, making out ( ) with 8 points (4 1v1 victories) after strongly penetrating the defenses of his opponents.
Once the tie-breaker game finishes, we'll get the Final kicked off!
Just wanted to shout out to any of y'all looking for some more tournament fun,
The annual PIG Roast that I host is desperately in need of competitors! The tourney is organized in a "king-of-the-grill" type fashion, in which a player (known as the Roaster) chooses the map and settings and the 3 "piggies" in the group must battle him in 1v1 games.
The piggies strive to escape the torturous, torrid heat of the grill (avoiding elimination), while the Roaster must be sure to defeat every opponent in the round to avoid being thrown into the inferno himself!
It's the perfect way to get ready for the approaching holiday season in which many families enjoy a luscious, moutherwateringly-savory-good roasted pig for dinner.
Hungry?
Check it out if you are interested! If you want in, simply write "in please". It would be absolutely sublime if you join, as there's only 10 days left for signups and still over half of the spots available!
We have finally determined our final 6 characters that have moved on to the grand championship. All I have to say is, get to know one another, as the finals feature 3 standard games, 3 assassin games, and 15 1v1 games, 3 against each opponent!!
It will take a lot of effort to find our Most Epic South Park Character. Will Moses escape with the victory?Does psychotic Mr. Garrison's side kick Mr. Hat possess the mad skills to triumph? Will immature baby Cartman steal the glory? Can a turd sandwich really compete?Pandas are becoming extinct so the Sexual Harassment Panda has his work cut out for him (no pun intended; you know, forests are being chopped down in China). And we all know Saddam is dead so it will be tough resurrecting a victory for him here.
Good luck to all 6 of the remaining characters, mmkay? There's 60 points up for grabs, and the character with the most points after all 21 games shall win the tournament!
May your strategy be solid and your intensity cubes incredible!
The 3 Standard games phase for the Championship have completed, and Moses (tennischamp5), Cartman (Copernicus), and the Turd Sandwich (friesuschrist) each pick up a win and 5 points.
The first round of 1v1 games has started. You'll be taking on one opponent, but instead of just on one map as before, you'll be playing a game on each of the three map types (USA Rockies, Doodle Earth, and Random).
You'll secure 2 points per 1v1 win. Good luck!

Good luck the rest of the way...
Very true! And this next round will be HUGE, as the top 2 (tennischamp5and Copernicus) meet! It's gonna get extremely close
Round 4 of the 1v1 underway! Second to last round!!
Just wanted to note that I just wrote a paper for an English class about how South Park is the smartest, most socially relevant non-news show of the last 20 years. Nothing else comes close, even the Teletubbies.

Teletubbies are a classic though
And I think it's also great how most of the time it's not really the kids who are messed up...'tis the adults.
Round 5, the final 1v1 round, is underway. All players are still eligible to win the tournament; after all, we will have the Assassin phase beginning in the New Year, and you pick up 5 points per win there...so nothing is decided yet. Keep at it!
Congratulations to Copernicus in winning the South Park Showdown, garnering 30 out of possible 60 points in the Championship!
Of course, the little annoying prick Cartman has to win
Thanks all for taking part! Your sportsmanship and commitment to the games is appreciated!
It would be great if you could take the time to congratulate our fellow CCer who has triumphed in this not-so-easy test of Standard, Assassin, and 1v1 games, by posting below!
