Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

this map is tropical.. i think a light army circle like off white with some transparency would fit better. the grey just seems kinda drab.

The Lakes and Kairi for sure but I tried to zoom in so I could see each pixel and say how they need to be moved and the jpeg compression makes the circle edges hard/impossible to define.

maybe i'm just tired (5.58 am) but as far as i can see all numbers need centering

Well, its 13:00hr local time here, the sun is shining gloriously after an early morning shower, it is autumn although you only know this by the cooler weather coming in, and there is a light beach sea breeze blowing from the beach which is only 200 years down ther street. I'm having pink salmon and salad of lettuce, shallots, cheese, beetroot, cherry tomatoes for lunch. Yummm! And I will finish lunch with frozen tropical fruit.
On the map, i live just over that bridge from cairns on palm cove territory.

Yes i have been toying with that, and 'preicate your convincing me...thanks Mibi.
looks great. i had thought maybe the numbers would dress the grey up, but the transparent ones look a ton better.
almost all the numbers look like they need better centering to me, so i wont name them.

man i like this map.

Enigma...if i could i send all the tropics through the computer screens so could experience the flavours and colours...thanks for your thoughts.
I am going through re-working (yet againt) the shadows, seems as though I might need to make them 24px to get them to centre properly. Watch the Tropics! :P

I agree with this, even if it makes them look off center the other way it would look better with the way you handled it on the rest of the map.
